Zoe Slater, played by Michelle Ryan on EastEnders, repeatedly searched for her son between September and December of last year, constantly exclaiming, “I need to find my son!”
I’m really invested in this character’s story, and it looks like she might finally get to meet the child she left at the hospital back in 2006. I’m honestly a little nervous for her, especially remembering how difficult things were with her daughter, Jasmine Fisher, played by Indeyarna Donaldson-Holness. Hopefully, this reunion will go a lot better.
For several months, the teenager secretly observed her mother while Chrissie Watts (played by Tracy-Ann Oberman) helped to emotionally abuse her.

Okay, so things got really dramatic with Zoe. She dropped a bombshell on Sharon Watts, claiming her son was the result of a one-night stand with Dennis Rickman – yes, that Dennis! Sharon, understandably, went into full detective mode, desperate to find this guy and have a piece of her late husband – who was also her adoptive half-brother, let’s not forget – back in her life. It’s a classic soap opera twist, and honestly, I’m hooked to see where this goes.
Okay, so Jasmine and Chrissie really pulled out all the stops with their scheme. The final touch? They sent a Christmas card, pretending it was from their son, letting her know he’d be arriving after dinner. It was a clever way to build the suspense, honestly!
He definitely hadn’t, and what was even more surprising was learning Jasmine was still alive – Zoe had believed she’d passed away during childbirth.

That night, Jasmine falsely accused her mother of murdering their father, Anthony Trueman (played by Nicholas Bailey), and finding their missing son became less important.
Jasmine was recently accused of murder after trying to frame Chrissie by planting evidence on her. Zoe’s mother, Kat Moon, realized this was a mistake and believed the only way to free Zoe was to have Jasmine arrested.
Against her better judgement, she called the police.

Jasmine desperately called her ex, Oscar, hoping he could help her find her lost phone. The phone contained a video of Anthony attacking her, and she believed the video could support her claim of self-defense.
Yesterday’s episode ended with Max (Jake Wood) watching the footage, unsure whether to turn it over to the authorities or cover for his son.
He advised Oscar not to take everything he heard about Jasmine at face value, but cautioned that she remained untrustworthy.

Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) later overheard Max discussing what he’d found and secretly went into his bedroom at Peacock Palace to take the item. Max quickly noticed it was gone and figured out who had taken it.
Cindy told him she’d gotten rid of it by flushing it down the drain, which seemed to solve his problem. But after he left, we found out it was actually still safe and sound.
Just as she was about to angrily stomp her heel on the screen, the phone suddenly rang. A familiar voice on the other end yelled, “Jasmine? It’s me, Josh – your brother!”
What plans does Cindy have now that she knows this, and when is Josh Goodwin (also known as Joshua Vaughan) expected in Walford?
