*Warning – contains full spoilers for The Night Agent season 3.*
All ten episodes of The Night Agent’s third season are now streaming on Netflix. This season, Peter Sutherland faces a dangerous new case while trying to break free from the control of Jacob Monroe, known as ‘The Broker’.
With the new episodes now available, viewers are likely asking if this will be the final adventure for Gabriel Basso’s character, or if he’ll return for another season.
Let’s recap what we’ve learned: Has the show been picked up for another season? If so, when can we expect new episodes? And will the original cast members return?
Read on for everything you need to know about The Night Agent season 4.
Will there be The Night Agent season 4?

While Netflix hasn’t confirmed a fourth season of The Night Agent yet, it’s looking likely, and an announcement could come very soon.
The show is moving its production to Los Angeles after receiving a $31.6 million California tax credit, as reported by Deadline in November 2025. Previously, seasons 2 and 3 were filmed in New York.
The publication also reported that a writers room was already up and running at that point.
Although news about Season 3 came before Season 2 even aired last time, we’re expecting an update on the show’s future soon. A lot of work has already been done behind the scenes to prepare for the next season.
We will keep this page updated with any concrete news as and when we get it.
When would a potential The Night Agent season 4 be released?

It’s difficult to predict when season 4 of The Night Agent will be released, as it hasn’t started filming yet. Considering there was a two-year wait between season 1 (which came out in March 2023) and any potential future seasons, we likely won’t see it for a while.
The second and third seasons were released about a year apart, in January 2025 and February 2026.
The show’s creators seem committed to releasing a new season each year, but it’s uncertain if they’ll be able to maintain that pace in the future.
We currently think a launch in spring 2027 is most probable, but this is just our best guess. We’ll update this page with any new information as soon as we have it.
Who would return to star in a potential The Night Agent season 4?

If The Night Agent gets renewed for another season, Gabriel Basso will almost certainly reprise his role as Peter Sutherland.
I’m really hoping we’ll see Albert Jones and Fola Evans-Akingbola return as their characters – they were both so important to the story, and I’d love to see what happens with them next.
Amanda Warren and Louis Herthum probably won’t be back, as their characters were killed off. The future of Luciane Buchanan’s character, Rose Larkin, is still uncertain.
As a big fan of the show, I was really disappointed Rose wasn’t in season 3. But the good news is, both the actor who plays Buchanan and the show’s creator, Shawn Ryan, have hinted that a reunion between Rose and Peter is still possible! It’s a waiting game now – we’ll just have to see if it happens in season 4, or maybe even later down the line. I’m keeping my fingers crossed!
Here’s a full list of the cast members we could potentially see back for The Night Agent season 4:
- Gabriel Basso as Peter Sutherland
- Albert Jones as Deputy Director Aiden Mosley
- David Lyons as Adam
- Fola Evans-Akingbola as Chelsea Arrington
- Genesis Rodriguez as Isabel
- Suraj Sharma as Jay Batra
- Luciane Buchanan as Rose Larkin
