Elsie Hewitt had an unexpected medical emergency. 

Just over two months after having her daughter, Scottie Rose Hewitt Davidson, with Pete Davidson, the model shared details about a frightening trip to the emergency room where she suffered from severe pain and felt very sick.

On February 19th, Elsie shared on Instagram that she was feeling very sick to her stomach and had been vomiting the night before. She posted a selfie from a car, wearing a mask, and said she hadn’t been able to sleep, had chills, and was experiencing pain all over her body.

She said her legs felt like they were spasming and incredibly restless, as if they might fly off her body. It felt like the sensation was happening from the waist down.

The 29-year-old explained that the experience of riding in the car to the emergency room was making her symptoms feel even worse.

Elsie shared that the driver’s cologne was incredibly strong – possibly the strongest she’d ever smelled. She joked that it was potent enough to bother her even if she wasn’t already feeling unwell.

Elsie is open about her health challenges. For example, shortly after giving birth to her son, Scottie, she had a wisdom tooth removed in the hospital. She shared a photo on Instagram on December 18th showing her swollen face and her baby, and jokingly asked if anyone else had experienced something similar.

Fortunately, she and Pete, 32, found some positivity, particularly as they enjoyed life with their baby daughter, Scottie. They named her after Pete’s father, Scott Davidson, a New York City firefighter who tragically died serving others during the September 11th attacks.

The name also carries a special significance, as Pete revealed to Elite Daily in January that his daughter was conceived in Scotland.

As a lifestyle expert, I often hear about the challenges of naming things – even babies! Elsie shared with me that she and her partner considered tons of different names, but they kept coming back to one early on, and that’s ultimately the one they chose. It’s so sweet when the first instinct turns out to be the right one, isn’t it?

She explained they always felt drawn to that particular option because it resonated with them the most. She also thought it was adorable.

Scottie’s middle name was also sentimental for Elsie, as it continues a floral family tradition. 

My sister and I both have Rose as a middle name, as it was our mother’s maiden name. When I named my daughter, I wanted to include that same special family connection for her, too.

In May 2025, Elsie and Pete went to the Blossom Ball, a yearly charity event that raises money for endometriosis research. Elsie, who openly talks about her experiences with endometriosis and calls herself an “endo warrior,” shared details about her treatments on social media.

After surgery, she shared in a TikTok video from December 2024 that she was experiencing increasing pain. She explained that this pain had caused her to miss out on work opportunities, and it was risky for her to be on set in case her condition suddenly worsened and she needed emergency care. She’s currently looking for solutions to manage the problem.

The actor from Bupkis sweetly kissed Elsie on the cheek while they were relaxing in a boat on the lake.

Okay, so Elsie was getting her makeup done by Pat McGrath Labs for a red carpet event in May 2025, and it was absolute madness! But then, Pete came over – my husband, seriously! – and just gave her the sweetest kiss right there. I swear, he’s the biggest Elsie fan ever, and it was the cutest thing to witness. I nearly died, honestly!

The couple was feeling the good vibes as they posed for a quick snap.

In April 2025, Elsie and Pete enjoyed a walk through midtown Manhattan, taking in the energy and atmosphere of New York City.

For their Memorial Day celebration, Elsie and Pete sampled different kinds of chips, like Pringles and Cape Cod Chips.

The couple attempted a quick, small smile for a TikTok video in June 2025, but they quickly started laughing.

She posted the first picture of them cuddling their daughter on December 18th, showing Elsie sweetly kissing Scottie on the forehead.
