Sonic the Hedgehog and the Justice League Are Teaming Up Again In a New DC Series

I was so surprised and happy to see Sonic and his friends team up with the Justice League in that recent comic series! It was awesome seeing them reimagined as DC heroes. And now, they’re doing it again! I’m really excited because it sounds like even more characters will be joining the adventure this time around.

DC Comics is teaming up with Sonic the Hedgehog for a new five-issue comic series called DC x Sonic the Hedgehog: Metal Legion. Fans can expect exciting new character combinations, like Catwoman and Aquaman working together! The first issue arrives in comic stores on May 5th, 2026, and you can get a sneak peek at the series below.




DC x Sonic Round 2 Will Feature Even More Amazing Character Combinations


The initial DC x Sonic comic series paired characters in fun ways – like Knuckles as Superman, Amy as Wonder Woman, Sonic as The Flash, Silver as Green Lantern, and Tails as Cyborg. The upcoming Metal Legion series will include even more Sonic characters, and the lineup promises to be fantastic.

The crossover event is adding Big the Cat, Blaze, Rouge the Bat, and Cream the Rabbit (along with Cheese!) to the cast. The promotional artwork shows Big the Cat dressed as Aquaman, Rouge the Bat taking on the role of Catwoman, and Cream the Rabbit as Supergirl. Blaze is also getting a superhero costume, rounding out the new team.

Ian Flynn is writing Metal Legion, with artwork by Adam Bryce Thomas. The pair previously collaborated on the popular first series and are thrilled to revisit this fun crossover.

Flynn said they had a lot of fun working on the first crossover and are excited to see a hint from the ending finally pay off in this new installment. They hope fans enjoy reading it as much as they enjoyed writing it. The official details are available below.


The Justice League from DC Comics and Sonic the Hedgehog are teaming up again for a new, exciting adventure! Strange mechanical rings have connected their worlds, bringing both amazing and troubling surprises. While the heroes are glad to be working together, they don’t realize there’s a hidden, dangerous reason why they’ve been brought together.

The first issue of DC x Sonic the Hedgehog: Metal Legion will be released on May 5, 2026. It’s a 32-page comic with a main cover by Pablo M. Collar, and variant covers by Adam Bryce Thomas, Serg Acuña, and Min Ho Kim.
