Update [Fri 20th Feb 2026, 1:45pm]:
Capcom has responded to the many spoilers for Resident Evil Requiem that have been appearing online before the game comes out next week.
The message on social media asks fans to avoid sharing early details or spoilers about the upcoming release. They also stated their legal team is working hard to remove any leaked information to ensure everyone can enjoy the release as intended.
Things are getting seriously difficult right now, so as we previously advised, please remain cautious.
I’m so hyped for Resident Evil Requiem! It’s not officially out until February 27th, but it’s crazy – some people are already getting their hands on copies. I’m trying to avoid spoilers, but it’s tough when you see stuff like that happening!
It’s not a huge problem on its own, but spoilers are beginning to appear online, so please be careful while browsing the internet in the next few days.
You won’t find any leaked information here, but be extra cautious on platforms like X and YouTube. They’re full of unverified content, and if you often look at Resident Evil content, the algorithms will likely show you any leaks that appear.
X lets you hide specific words or phrases, which can be useful for avoiding spoilers. However, you might still encounter spoilers on YouTube, especially from surprising video thumbnails.
It’s frustrating that leaks happen with every big release, but it’s a common problem with physical copies like Blu-rays. They need to be shipped out before the official release date, and unfortunately, the content always ends up online beforehand.
I was really worried for a bit there, hearing rumors that Rockstar might push back the release of GTA 6. It seemed like they might delay getting physical copies to stores, but thankfully, Take-Two, the company that owns Rockstar, quickly shut down those rumors. It’s a relief to know things are still on track!
Resident Evil Requiem comes out on the PS5 in just over a week, so stay safe until then!
