Pokémon games often have creatures you can only catch in one version of the game. What Pokémon can you only find in FireRed and LeafGreen?
Many of the Pokémon only available in specific games were originally from the first Red and Blue versions (known as Red and Green in Japan). However, as new Pokémon were introduced from the Johto and Hoenn regions in Generation 3, even more exclusive Pokémon were added to that list.
Honestly, it’s a perfect moment to replay the original Kanto region! I’m super hyped for the 30th anniversary of Pokémon and can’t stop thinking about what Generation 10 will bring – I’m totally getting my Pokémon fix while I wait for more news.
You could use cheats to fill up your Pokédex, but it’s much more enjoyable to do it yourself!
So, for a quick overview of all the exclusives in Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen, let’s get into it.
Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen exclusives: Which Pokémon are only in one game?
Pokémon FireRed has a total of 23 exclusive Pokémon, while LeafGreen has 24 exclusive Pokémon.
Now that Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen are available on the Nintendo Switch, completing the Pokédex should be much simpler – you won’t have to trade Pokémon with friends in person anymore.
