The popular franchise is getting a fresh boost, starting almost a year from now. This new wave will include both new animated content and a line of reimagined toys featuring the classic robots fans know and love.
The next Transformers series, titled Transformers Cyberworld: Energon Surge, will focus on Transformers gaining enhanced power through Energon. This upgrade will affect characters like Bumblebee, and will be accompanied by a new line of toys. Along with the usual Autobot and Decepticon figures, two Maximals will also be getting updated toy releases, with one having a significantly different design than before.
Transformers Cyberworld Surges With New Toys and a Season 2

At the recent Toyfair Nuremberg event, details about the second season of the Transformers Cyberworld web cartoon were unveiled. This season, titled “Energon Surge,” centers around Bumblebee discovering a powerful new type of energon. While this energon makes him incredibly strong, it also risks unleashing a dangerous inner anger. The search for this unstable resource will ultimately decide the fate of Cyberworld.
Every Transformers cartoon needs new toys, and this series will have plenty! Here’s a look at the toys announced for this release:
- Cyberworld Energon Surge Bumblebee Power Spark ($54.99 USD)
- Cyberworld Energon Surge Autobot Hound Ultimate Cyber Changers ($21.99 USD)
- Cyberworld Energon Surge Soundwave Deep See Explorer ($32.99 USD)
- Cyberworld Energon Surge Cyber Changers Optimus Prime ($10.99 USD)
- Cyberworld Energon Surge Cyber Changers Cheetor ($10.99 USD)
- Cyberworld Energon Surge Armored Cyber Changers Optimus Prime ($16.99 USD)
- Cyberworld Energon Surge Armored Cyber Changers Megatron ($16.99 USD)
Bumblebee is the main highlight of this toy series and comes with several cool features, like lights and sounds. He transforms into a Cybertronian car equipped with a drill, which can also be used while he’s in robot form, along with two energy swords. You can even combine these weapons to create a little bee drone! Plus, an alternate head lets you display Bumblebee with a more intense, darker look based on his robot mode.
Soundwave now transforms into a submarine inspired by sea monsters, featuring energon tentacles in both robot and vehicle form. The Cyber Changers Optimus Prime converts into a streamlined truck with a crystalline finish on top. The Armored Cyber Changers Optimus Prime is similar, but has a fully crystalline upper body, comes with two energon swords, and transforms into a vehicle resembling a Humvee.
I’m seriously excited about these Armored Cyber Changers! Megatron is incredible – he transforms into a drill, and even in robot mode, he’s got a drill weapon plus a weapon that’s a cool mix of a sword and his original fusion cannon from the classic Generation 1! Hound looks amazing, practically glowing with energon in both forms. And Cheetor? They really switched things up! His robot mode is a fantastic throwback to his Beast Wars look, but instead of turning into a cheetah, he becomes a snow leopard – he actually looks a lot like Tigatron now, which is awesome!
A surprising new character—a gorilla—has been added to the series. Season 2 of Transformers Cyberverse will be released in August 2026, along with a new line of toys.
