Filming has begun on All Creatures Great and Small season 7, 5 has confirmed.
As a big fan of the show, I’m really looking forward to Season 7! It’s based on the wonderful stories of James Herriot, the vet in Yorkshire, and it looks like it’ll pick up right after the 2025 Christmas special. That special was packed with stuff happening, and I was especially thrilled to see Helen (Rachel Shenton) back – can’t wait to see what happens with her in the new season!
While the full cast list hasn’t been officially announced, we anticipate the return of familiar faces including Nicholas Ralph as James, Rachel Shenton as Helen, Samuel West as Siegfried, Callum Woodhouse as Tristan, and Anna Madeley as Mrs. Audrey Hall.
It continued: “We can’t wait to return to Darrowby with you all.”
The show was officially renewed in November for seasons seven and eight, plus two additional holiday specials.
Greg Barnett, a commissioning editor at Channel 5, described the series as the network’s most important drama, and hinted at future storylines and exciting experiences for the characters.
Susanne Simpson, the executive producer of Masterpiece, expressed her excitement about continuing the series, highlighting its heartwarming, optimistic, and funny qualities.
Melissa Gallant and Sharon Moran from Playground said they’re thrilled people enjoy watching and working on the show, and they’re excited for future stories filmed in the lovely Yorkshire countryside with their talented team.
