Playground Games has shared new information about the campaign in Forza Horizon 6. Players will be traveling to Japan for the Horizon Festival, but this time, you’ll begin as a visitor and need to prove yourself by winning races and collecting Wristbands to climb the ranks.
You’ll initially earn rewards by completing the Horizon Qualifiers and Invitational. After that, the racing expands to include events like Cross Country and Dirt races. As you progress and complete Personal Records and Skill challenges, you’ll start to unlock car themes. Plus, every time you finish a race, you’ll gain access to the Race Customizer, letting you personalize almost everything about it.
To unlock the next Wristband, you’ll need to complete a Wristband Event, like one of the popular Showcase Events. Plus, there are new Horizon Rush events at exciting locations like Sotoyama Ski Resort, Irokawa Space Center, and Tokyo City Docks. These are fast-paced obstacle courses where the quickest times earn you three stars.
Okay, so I finally unlocked Legend Island! It took finishing seven Festival Wristbands, which was a bit of a grind, but totally worth it. Apparently, it’s the ultimate challenge for racers like me – it’s got a brand new circuit and this insane race called the Colossus that goes all the way across the entire map’s freeway! I can’t wait to try it out.
While working towards earning Wristbands, you’ll get to explore Japan, collecting cars, enjoying Horizon Stories, joining street races, and even challenging yourself with Touge races. As you collect Stamps, you’ll unlock new houses to buy. These Stamps also help you find hidden Barn Finds and gain access to The Estate – a customizable home base.
The game is packed with content, and we’re excited to play it when Forza Horizon 6 comes out on May 19th for Xbox Series X/S and PC. PlayStation 5 owners will be able to play it later this year, and thankfully, you can carry your progress over from PC, like Steam, to PS5.
