Please be aware that this article contains spoilers from the Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo manga! Following the events of Chapter 23, it appears Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo is nearing its end. While there’s no official release date, many fans predict the series will conclude around March 2026. Modulo began as a short sequel intended to run for about six months. The story is set 68 years after the Culling Game, and centers around the arrival of over 50,000 Simurians – an alien race with powers similar to Jujutsu sorcerers – who come to Japan seeking refuge. Their arrival creates significant disruption, and they search for the missing Yuji Itadori. The sequel has also revealed that Yuji hasn’t aged in the decades since the original series.
To become stronger before facing Ryomen Sukuna, he absorbed the Death Paintings, but this came at a great cost. Though he doesn’t directly participate in the battle between the sorcerers and the Simurians, Yuji teams up with Maru, hoping to build a peaceful world for everyone. Despite his importance to the story, his character arc ultimately felt unresolved.
Jujutsu Kaisen Needs One More Sequel to Give Yuji Itadori a Conclusion

Yuji isn’t truly immortal, but because he’s neither fully human nor a curse, he’ll continue to live for around 300 years. In the most recent chapter, Yuji says goodbye to Maru after explaining a way to achieve peace where curses and humans – and even Simurians – can live together. This process is incredibly complex and seen as a serious offense, as it involves manipulating people’s souls. Despite this, Yuji fully supports Maru, believing it’s the correct path, and pledges to watch over Japan for the next three centuries.
After the recent chapter, some fans speculate Yuji’s story might be ending, as he’s seemingly completed his main purpose. However, a rushed ending without a satisfying conclusion could leave the door open for a future sequel focused on his adventures. Yuji experienced the most tragic fate of all the characters, burdened by centuries of loneliness. He was forced to helplessly watch his friends age and pass away while he remained unchanged, which deeply affected him as he was unable to fulfill his grandfather’s dying wish.
