The highly anticipated new World of Warcraft expansion is almost here, and players will soon be able to battle Xal’atath, the Harbinger, and the forces of the Void in WoW Midnight.

The latest expansion for World of Warcraft includes a wealth of new content, like quests and both brand-new and updated areas to explore. Players who pre-ordered Midnight have been able to try out the Housing feature in early access since December 2nd, 2025.

Prepare to journey back to the elven lands of Quel’Thalas! The fate of Azeroth – and its defense against the Voidstorm and Xal’atath – rests in your hands.

Activision Blizzard has announced that the new World of Warcraft will be released on March 2nd, 2026, as revealed in a recent trailer.

Since this is new content for an existing online game, you’ll want to know when it becomes available – specifically, the World of Warcraft midnight launch time – before you start playing.

World of Warcraft will launch at 11 PM on March 2nd, 2026, in the UK. For players in the US, the game will go live at 3 PM Pacific Time / 6 PM Eastern Time.

World of Warcraft Midnight: What to expect

World of Warcraft: Midnight is the newest big update to the popular online game, continuing the ongoing Worldsoul Saga storyline. It sends players back to the elven lands of Quel’Thalas as a new threat from Xal’atath emerges, and a battle against the dangerous Voidstorm begins.

The new content will feature four updated areas to explore: Silvermoon City, Eversong Woods, Zul’Aman, and Harander. Players will also face the Voidstorm, a dangerous and mysterious realm described as a place where survival depends on being a predator.

As you progress through the Midnight campaign, you’ll meet helpful new allies – including the Haranir, a brand-new race – and face challenging new enemies.

To become more powerful and combat these new enemies, you can now increase your character’s level to 90 and unlock new abilities.

When World of Warcraft: The War Within launches on March 2nd, players will have plenty to explore, including new Delves, eight dungeons, and three raids throughout the first season, Midnight.
