DC just released a trailer for “Next Level,” giving fans a sneak peek at new comic book storylines featuring beloved characters. Each comic was created by a different team of writers and artists.
Netx Level is the second phase of a publishing plan that began with ALL IN SPECIAL and the Absolute Universe. The project is led by experienced DC Comics writers Scott Snyder and Joshua Williamson.
Lobo, Batwoman and more upcoming comics shown in DC Next Level trailer
DC has just dropped a trailer for its ‘Next Level’ initiative, giving fans a sneak peek at the exciting, creator-focused stories coming soon. The lineup includes adventures featuring well-known characters like Lobo, Deathstroke, and Batwoman.
The new series will begin in March 2026, right after the DC K.O. comic book event ends. You can watch the trailer below.
Lobo is starting a new story arc called Next Level. The comic, written by Skottie Young and illustrated by Jorge Corona (who also created the cover art), will be released on March 4, 2026. The official description promises a violent and action-packed adventure where Lobo attempts to carve his mark into the mysterious Source Wall with a knife.
The series ‘Lobo’ will be followed a week later, on March 11, 2026, by ‘Batwoman’. Greg Rucka is writing the series, and DaNi is providing the illustrations. The story will center on Kate Kane as she battles a religious group determined to destroy the world.
On March 18, 2026, a new Deathstroke series created by writer Tony Fleecs and artist Carmine Di Giandomenico will be released. The story centers on Slade Wilson, the superhuman mercenary known as Deathstroke, and his battle against an enemy determined to destroy him.
I’m so excited for April 2026! Two new comic series are coming out – one about Zatanna, and the other about Firestorm. I’m especially looking forward to ‘The Fury of Firestorm’, which is being created by Jeff Lemire and Rafael DeLatorre. It sounds intense – apparently, Ronnie Raymond, as Firestorm, is causing a lot of trouble in Bedford, Colorado, and it all kicks off on April 1st. It’s going to be a dark story, and I can’t wait to see what happens!
The Zatanna comic book arrives on April 29, 2026. It’s illustrated by Jamal Campbell, who previously worked on Superman and Zatanna: It’s Showtime. The story centers around Zatanna herself, who is destined to become the first Prime Magus in a millennium.
Barbara Gordon: Breakout is scheduled to be released on May 13, 2026. The story follows Barbara as she faces off against both criminals and corrupt prison guards after being locked up in Supermax, a prison for those who oppose the authorities, run by GCPD commissioner Vandal Savage, for helping the Bat-family.
I’m really excited about this – Deadman is joining the Next Level lineup on June 3, 2026! It’s a six-issue miniseries crafted by W. Maxwell Prince, with incredible artwork from Martín Morazzo and sound design by Chris O’Halloran. The story picks up after the events of DC K.O. and follows Boston Brand as he tries to navigate some seriously chaotic forces that are messing with the natural order of life and death. It sounds intense!
