Wolverine is famous for being one of the fiercest heroes in the Marvel Universe. Over the years, fans have seen him battle a huge range of powerful characters, both heroes and villains. Because he’s so popular, he’s teamed up with and fought almost everyone you can think of. He’s been part of many supergroups and has helped save the world from massive threats. With his incredible healing ability and virtually indestructible skeleton, he’s a nearly unbeatable fighter, even capable of hurting and defeating someone as strong as the Hulk. He truly stands apart from most heroes.

DC Comics is packed with incredibly powerful heroes and villains, many of whom could defeat Wolverine. However, there are also a number of tough DC characters who would find themselves in a real fight against him. Here are ten of the toughest DC heroes and villains that Wolverine could actually win against, proving why he’s considered the best at what he does.

10) Bane

Bane is famous for defeating Batman, but he wouldn’t stand a chance against Wolverine. While Bane is intelligent and capable, and could likely surprise Wolverine initially, the Venom symbiote wouldn’t give him enough strength to seriously harm him. However, Wolverine’s adamantium claws are a different story. Once the fight begins, Wolverine will easily cut through Bane, and he’ll immediately target the symbiote’s connection to Bane. Bane is a formidable opponent, but Wolverine will ultimately win.

9) Cheetah

Cheetah is a fast and skilled opponent, even capable of going toe-to-toe with Wonder Woman. However, she’s the perfect type of villain for Wolverine to defeat. Think of her as a more powerful, quicker version of Sabretooth, but lacking his years of training and experience. Their fight would be brutal, but ultimately, Cheetah doesn’t have the power to seriously injure Wolverine. He routinely battles incredibly strong opponents like the Hulk and can withstand devastating attacks. While Cheetah is surprisingly powerful, she’s unlikely to win against Logan.

8) Vandal Savage

Vandal Savage is a major enemy of the Justice League, and incredibly, he’s lived through the last 100,000 years. While Savage has far more experience and is likely physically stronger, Wolverine stands a real chance against him. Wolverine’s adamantium skeleton and claws, combined with his powerful healing ability, give him an edge that Savage can’t overcome. It would be an exciting battle, but Savage would underestimate Logan and ultimately be defeated.

7) Solomon Grundy

Solomon Grundy is sometimes called the zombie version of the Hulk, making a fight between them really exciting. While Grundy is powerful enough to injure Wolverine, he isn’t as tough as the Hulk. Grundy has been stabbed and dismembered multiple times, and Wolverine could definitely exploit those weaknesses. Wolverine would need to be strategic, but he’s defeated opponents like Grundy before, and there’s no reason he couldn’t do it again – Grundy certainly wouldn’t be able to stop him.

6) Psimon

The Teen Titans face tough enemies, and Psimon is one of their most dangerous. This powerful psychic villain is a major threat across the DC Universe, but Wolverine is well-prepared. He’s spent years training to shield his mind from psychic attacks and even has a natural resistance. Psimon will try to control Logan, but he’s about to discover that won’t be possible – and it will be a brutal surprise.

5) Hawkman

Hawkman is often compared to Wolverine, but he’d likely lose in a fight. While Hawkman has more experience and is physically stronger, he needs his Claw of Horus to really stand a chance against Wolverine. Both are skilled at surprise attacks, and Hawkman can fly, giving him an edge. However, Wolverine is incredibly durable and can withstand almost any attack – something Hawkman can’t claim. Cliff Steele is the core of the Doom Patrol, both as a leader and the team’s strongest fighter. He fiercely protects his teammates and won’t hesitate to confront anyone who threatens them. While incredibly durable, his robotic body isn’t invulnerable, especially to sharp weapons. Wolverine, being faster and a more skilled combatant, would have a significant advantage.
