After nearly four years, the popular thriller series The Capture is returning, and we now have the official release date.
The first episode of The Capture season 3 will be available on BBC iPlayer starting at 6am on Sunday, March 8th. It will then be shown on BBC One at 9pm the same day.
Instead of releasing all episodes at the same time, each new part of the show will be added to iPlayer every Sunday. The final episode is scheduled to be available on Sunday, April 12th.
I just saw the news confirmed with a brand new, full-length trailer! You can check it out below – I’m really excited about it!

The new season’s trailer promises high-stakes action, featuring gunfights, explosions, and the unsettling use of deepfake technology. We also see Rachel Carey, portrayed by Holliday Grainger, genuinely terrified, hinting at the dangers to come.
She recently introduced Operation Veritas, a cutting-edge surveillance camera designed to instantly identify and flag both cyber attacks and deepfake videos.
When a shooting happens, and the editing software seems to be changing the video of the shooter, Carey begins to question if what she witnessed is actually real.

Ben Chanan returns as the creator for this new season, continuing the story a year after the dramatic events of season 2, where Rachel revealed the truth about Correction to the public.
The Capture season 3 will air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer from Sunday 8 March 2026.
