In a mere four days following its release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, Void Interactive’s game Ready or Not has successfully sold over one million copies, an achievement that speaks volumes about the game’s popularity.
Initially introduced on Steam Early Access in 2021, the game Ready or Not officially launched in December 2023 and received favorable feedback from PC gamers. In this game, players assume the role of Commander David “Judge” Beaumont, who leads D Platoon of the Los Sueños Police Department. Their responsibilities involve managing tactical operations, ranging from hostage rescues to drug raids.
In the single-player Commander Mode, players are responsible for giving orders and overseeing their team. If troops or civilians meet an untimely end, tension may rise, leading to sending the remaining personnel for counseling and recruiting new members. The gameplay has been positively likened to the old SWAT series, but it also offers the opportunity for teamwork with up to four other players online.
