How to get Lumber in Pokémon Pokopia explained

Lumber is a really helpful resource when you first start playing Pokémon Pokopia, but many players wonder where to find it.

You can easily find small pieces of wood like branches, but getting larger lumber requires more work.

You’ll definitely want to gather wood, because you can use it to make many helpful items and other things.

So, with that, let’s take you through exactly how to get Lumber in Pokopia.

How to get Lumber in Pokémon Pokopia explained

To get Lumber in Pokopia, you need to give Small Logs to any Pokémon with the Chop Specialty.

You’ll encounter several Pokémon skilled in the Chop Specialty, and Scyther is the first one you’ll find.

Progress the main story until you meet Scyther, and they will teach you the move Cut.

You can use the ‘Cut’ action to chop down trees or gather dead wood, which will give you Small Logs.

If you have some Small Logs, go find Scyther and speak with them. Choose the ‘Look at this!’ option, and they’ll see you have the logs.

Choose ‘Make me some Lumber’, and then select how much you want to make.

Turning in one Small Log gives you five Lumber, and you can trade up to ten Small Logs at a time for a total of fifty Lumber.

After you give them over, Scyther will need time to process them all. This might take a bit, so feel free to use the wait time to work on other things, such as farming or building new Habitats.

Feel free to check on Scyther’s progress and take any Lumber that’s ready whenever you like. This is especially useful if you’ve asked Scyther to process a large amount of Small Logs, as you don’t need to wait for everything to finish at once.

You might find some wood while exploring, but this is the fastest way to gather a large amount at one time.
