Horror Reboot of Classic Disney Franchise Confirms Unofficial Scream Crossover Is Happening

Over the last few years, some of Disney’s oldest stories have become freely available for anyone to use, and this has led to a trend of dark and reimagined versions of beloved characters. This trend is growing, and now a scary new take on a classic Disney franchise is officially including a crossover with the horror movie Scream.

The latest Scream movie is doing well in theaters, and now Roger Jackson, the voice of Ghostface, has taken on a very different role: he’ll be playing Rabbit in a new horror film. This movie is connected to the Blood and Honey universe, and Jackson’s version of Rabbit in Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 3 is a dark and frightening take on the classic character. You can see a first look at the creepy new design below (according to Bloody Disgusting).

Blood and Honey 3 Sets Up An Even Bigger Crossover

After Winnie the Pooh and Steamboat Willie became freely available for use, many projects began to emerge. However, Blood & Honey has become the most successful, evolving into a full-fledged franchise. These films feature frightening, violent versions of Pooh and Piglet, and the upcoming Blood and Honey 3 will add even more characters from the original stories, such as Rabbit, the heffalumps, and the woozles.

The upcoming movie Blood and Honey 3 will introduce new characters in preparation for a large-scale crossover film called Poohniverse: Monsters Assemble. This new film will unite all the characters from this dark and twisted world, and production is scheduled to begin this summer, meaning fans won’t have to wait long after Blood & Honey 3 comes out to see it.

The first two Blood and Honey movies and Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare all exist within the same shared universe. Scott Chambers, who has been in the previous films, will now direct Blood and Honey 3, while Rhys Frake-Waterfield will return as a producer.

I’m really excited about Blood and Honey 3! Richard Stanley wrote the script, which is awesome, and George Drogo is going to be playing Winnie-the-Pooh. The rest of the cast is shaping up great too – Eddy MacKenzie is Piglet, Lewis Santer is Tigger, and we have Marcus Massey as Owl and Karol Stanisz as Rabbit. Plus, Lauren Staerck, Zena Donnelly, Shayli Reagan, Kira Reed Lorsch, Paul Black, FiFi Aniyah, Belle Taylor, Jon Callaway, Leo Harris, and Pyn Phoenix are all involved, so it’s going to be a packed movie!

Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 3 currently has no release date, but we’ll keep you posted.
