Aniplex, tri-Ace, and Lasengle announce PvP social deduction game OCTOPinbs for PC

Aniplex, tri-Ace, and Lasengle have revealed OCTOPinbs, a social deduction game where players take on the roles of firefighters and arsonists. Designed for three to ten players, it’s coming to PC via Steam this spring and will be available in English, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, French, German, Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese.

About

Emergency! A fire is happening – rush to the location! This is an online game where 3 to 10 players can compete together.

In each game, players are randomly assigned to be either firefighters (playing as octopuses) or artists (playing as squid). The firefighters try to put out fires, while the artists try to spread them. Both teams need to use strategy to win.

You’ve successfully completed the mission if you completely stop the stage incineration or manage to contain all the performers in Octojars!

As you move through the rooms, spray water and carefully watch the other players for anyone acting strangely.

You’ve succeeded in the mission if you either completely burn down the stage with incineration, or trap all the firefighters in Octojars, rendering them unable to fight the fire!

Appear to help by putting out fires, but secretly look for chances to start new ones.

Body Lost? Revive ASAP!

If you take enough damage from other players or environmental hazards like fire, you’ll lose your current body.

Make a beeline for the fire truck to grab a new one and get back to work!

Octojars Reveal All!

Stuff suspicious players into Octojars to reveal their identities!

If the helmeted player is an artist (squid), that’s a win for the firefighters (octopuses).

If a firefighter who isn’t involved in the situation is accidentally trapped inside, the team will lose a member and have to be extra cautious moving forward.

The Artist’s Trump Card!

Artists can choose to reveal their true colors.

So, if I let the firefighters know where I am, I get a boost – like, I’ll move faster, have more health, and unlock some cool new abilities. It’s a trade-off, but it could be really helpful!
