According to popular manga artist Tatsuya Endo, the highly anticipated third season of “Spy x Family” is set to air in October 2025 as part of the Fall 2025 anime schedule. Excited fans can once again join the Forger family in their daily adventures. But there’s more good news for fans this year! As reported by Mantan Web, a summer special project titled “SPY×FAMILY Operation Podcast Summer Special” has been confirmed. Starting every Monday at 7 pm from August 4th, this four-episode special will stream on YouTube’s TOHO animation channel. The voice actors of Anya Forger (Atsumi Tanezaki), Damien Desmond (Natsumi Fujiwara), and Becky Blackbell (Emiri Kato) will be featured in the first two episodes.
For the upcoming episodes, you’ll hear the voice talents of Loid Forger (Takuya Eguchi), Yor Forger (Saori Hayami), Anya Forger (Atsumi Tanezaki), and Bond Forger (Kenichiro Matsuda). The first two episodes will concentrate on students at Eden Academy, while the last two will spotlight the popular Forger family. The podcasts will feature the main cast sharing their behind-the-scenes experiences with the anime crew. As of now, there’s no confirmed release date or teaser for Season 3 of the anime, but fans who follow the manga know that they can expect some exciting and humorous moments ahead.
What to Expect From Spy x Family Season 3
In the concluding chapter of this captivating second season, I found myself embarking on an unexpected detour, unaware that Bond would join me in my quest. As Yor’s cooking proved disastrous for our canine friend, it struck me that Bond was seeking vengeance against those who had subjected him to cruel experiments. The dust finally settled, and with the help of my trusted partner, I accomplished my mission effortlessly. Upon my return home, I prepared a comforting feast for my boy. But hold on to your hats, folks! The stakes will rise even higher in the third season, which kicks off with the Friendship Schemes Arc. Buckle up for an exhilarating ride!
The upcoming season is set to explore both the Red Circus and Mole Hunt storylines from the manga, providing more insight into the Desmond family, a crucial step towards Loid achieving his mission in Operation Strix. Despite encountering Donovan Desmond at the end of the previous season, not much progress has been made so far. Regrettably, time is of the essence, and swift action is required. Intriguingly, Anya and Yor will unwittingly lend their assistance again, furthering Loid’s objectives. Additionally, the Red Circus Arc will showcase another heroic act by Anya, rescuing everyone once more.
The initial season debuted split into two halves with a grand total of 25 episodes. In contrast, the second season only featured 12 episodes. As for the third season, the production team hasn’t disclosed whether it will continue the two-part format or not, and we’re still unsure if it will cover the Term Finals Arc during its premiere on Crunchyroll. If you’d like to watch the first and second seasons, both Crunchyroll and Hulu offer streaming options. Interestingly, they are also broadcasting “Spy x Family: Code White,” a side story film that came out in 2023.
