Woman Booked on Attempted Murder After Shooting at Rihanna’s Home

New details have come to light about an incident at Rihanna’s home.

Los Angeles police have identified the woman arrested for shooting at the home of singer Sam Asghari in Beverly Hills on March 8th as Ivanna Lisette Ortiz. She has been charged with attempted murder, according to Oxygen.com.

A 35-year-old woman is being held on a $10.225 million bond after police say she fired a gun from her car around 1 p.m. The Los Angeles Police Department’s Robbery Homicide Division is actively investigating the incident, according to TopMob News reports.

Rihanna, A$AP Rocky, and their three children – 3-year-old RZA, 2-year-old Riot Rose, and 5-month-old Rocki – were at home when a shooting occurred. According to NBC News and a source who spoke with the Los Angeles Times, at least ten bullets were fired, and one of them went through a wall of their house.

Police sergeant Jonathan de Vera confirmed to the outlet that no injuries were reported.

TopMob News has contacted both Rihanna’s representatives and the Los Angeles Police Department for a statement, but they haven’t responded yet. We’ve also been unable to locate contact details for a lawyer representing Ortiz.

This isn’t the first time Rihanna, the founder of Fenty Beauty, has experienced a frightening incident. In 2018, a man broke into her Hollywood Hills home after climbing over a fence, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office.

Eduardo Leon, identified as the stalker by the District Attorney, was inside Rihanna’s home for 12 hours before an assistant found him. He pleaded no contest to stalking and was ordered to stay away from her for ten years.

The mother of three, originally named Robyn Fenty, has spoken about how important it is to protect her children’s privacy. She recalled a particularly difficult time when photographers tried to get a picture of her son, RZA, before she was ready to share him with the public.

She told British Vogue in 2023 that it’s something no parent wants to face. ‘We, as parents, get to choose when and how we handle it, and that’s final,’ she said.

I don’t care what you do to me, just leave him out of it. We’ve always kept him safe, and you have no right to share or sell photos of our child – he’s underage. Get out of here now.

Rihanna has always prioritized safety, even before becoming a mother. She once said she’d be fiercely protective of her children, and jokingly mentioned she’d take parenting advice from Teresa Giudice of The Real Housewives of New Jersey.

In a 2022 interview with Teen Vogue, she said that another parent told her she would ‘flatten’ anyone who spoke badly about their children. She added that this sentiment really connected with her, as it reflects the kind of mother she aspires to be.
