Ghosted: A Life Untethered

The narrative commences with the character named Mercy (Asha) parting ways with her most recent partner. Her acting career is faltering, and at 30 years old, she finds herself adrift without a clear sense of purpose. As her friends endeavor to offer guidance, Mercy’s insatiable longing for success in both love and fame gradually takes over her life.

Alternatively, she’s persuaded to venture into online dating, where she encounters a charming individual named Blake (de Groot). From the outset, she develops feelings for him, yet he turns out to be more elusive than she anticipated.

The story here shows a reflection of everyday struggles and our attempts to avoid bigger problems. It’s easy to identify with Mercy’s longing for love, her pursuit of dreams, and her ambition to succeed. The performances throughout the movie are noteworthy.

Worst Parts

The romantic characters appear as if they’re unrealistic caricatures of an ideal partner that doesn’t actually exist. This highlights the superficiality of dating and unfortunately, the movie fails to elicit even a chuckle due to this focus. On the other hand, the main theme of the series tends to be overshadowed by less engaging aspects.

Final ThoughtsGhosted does everything for a fantasy romance people can’t ever have.
