Rumors are circulating about changes to the professional dancers on Strictly Come Dancing, and it’s now being reported that Karen Hauer may have been let go from the show.
After joining the show in 2012, Hauer is the longest-running female professional dancer in its history. However, the Daily Mail reports she won’t be returning for the upcoming season.
Throughout her 14 seasons on the show, Hauer has danced with partners like Mark Wright, Charles Venn, Chris Ramsey, and most recently, Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, but she hasn’t yet claimed the winning title.
I remember when she almost won in 2020! She and Jamie Laing from Made in Chelsea were amazing, but they ended up as runners-up. It was so close!
TopMob has reached out to the BBC and Hauer’s representatives for comment.

This report follows recent news that Gorka Márquez, Luba Mushtuk, and Michelle Tsiakkas won’t be participating in the next season, as show producers are reportedly aiming for a new direction.
I was so surprised to hear that Nadiya Bychkova was dropped from the show! Apparently, it was a really big shock for her too, which is awful. I feel so bad for her – she’s such a talented dancer.
Following a report in The Sun, a BBC representative stated that details about the 2026 series of Strictly Come Dancing will be announced later.
The BBC usually reveals the professional dancers for Strictly Come Dancing in April. Last year, they announced the lineup on Friday, April 11th, and introduced two new dancers to the team.
The team didn’t immediately reveal who had joined, but later confirmed that Alexis Warr and Julian Caillon would be new members starting in July 2025.
With this in mind, we can expect details on this reported shake-up to come soon.
Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One and iPlayer later this year.
