In addition to showing how well it runs on consoles, Pearl Abyss has now revealed the official PC system requirements for Crimson Desert. To play, you’ll need a solid-state drive with 150 GB of free space, Windows 10 (64-bit), and at least 16 GB of RAM.
Even with the basic hardware, you can expect upscaled 1080p graphics at 30 frames per second using the lowest settings. If you increase the graphics to ‘Low’, the game will run at a clear 1080p resolution, also at 30 FPS. The ‘Recommended’ settings allow for 1080p at 30 FPS or 4K at 30 FPS with medium detail. If your hardware meets the ‘High’ requirements, you’ll get smooth gameplay at 1440p resolution with 60 FPS, and the ‘Ultra’ settings will deliver a stunning 4K experience at 60 FPS.
The game appears to be well-optimized, though it doesn’t currently utilize the upscaling technology Pearl Abyss had previously announced. Enabling this feature could likely improve performance even further. Based on what we’ve seen, including a recent preview from Digital Foundry, Crimson Desert looks stunning on PC, no matter your graphical settings.
