Invincible VS adds Allen the Alien; PS5 and Xbox Series open beta test set for April 9 to 11

Okay, so I’m super excited for this new fighting game, Invincible VS! The publishers, Skybound Games, and the developers, Quarter Up, just announced that Allen the Alien will be one of 18 characters you can play as when the game launches. Even better, they’re doing an open beta test from April 9th to 11th on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series, so I’ll get to try it out soon!

Robert Kirkman, co-creator of Invincible, announced that Allen will play a key role in upcoming content. He’ll be featured prominently this spring between the fourth season of the animated series and the release of Invincible VS. Kirkman described Allen as both funny and a powerful fighter, capable of delivering devastating attacks. He’s eager to see how players utilize Allen in the game’s upcoming open beta.

Here is his character description:

Allen, an alien created in a lab, was the only successful attempt to build a warrior capable of challenging the incredibly powerful Viltrumites. Despite being created for a serious purpose, Allen is known for his playful sense of humor, often making jokes even during battles. He’s become one of Invincible’s most valuable allies in the fight against the Viltrumite Empire, consistently proving his strength and resilience – even when seemingly defeated, he always returns stronger than ever.

Allen is a formidable fighter in Invincible VS, known for his incredible speed, strength, and grappling skills. He overwhelms opponents with his powerful attacks and excels at confusing them with unpredictable moves, especially when using his strong, defensive stance. While Allen can be challenging to learn, mastering his fast-paced style allows players to create impressive and devastating combos that easily defeat anyone who tries to stand against him.

The open beta will let you play as 10 different characters, including Mark Grayson (Invincible), Atom Eve, Bulletproof, Thula, Rex Splode, Battle Beast, Omni Man, Robot, Monster Girl, and Allen the Alien. You’ll be able to battle across six arenas: Hometown Invasion (Night), Moon, Ka-Hor’s Tomb (Day), Himalayas, Kinetic Chamber, and Training Room.

The game Invincible VS will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC (through Steam and the Microsoft Store) on April 30th.
