Good news for Battlefield 6 fans! A recent interview with IGN suggests improvements are coming with the Nightfall update, scheduled for March 17th, potentially turning things around for Season 2.
Justin Wiebe, design director at Ripple Effect, is excited about the game and its focus on collaboration. A key part of this is involving players in the development process. He explains that the team is actively listening to player feedback and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future, constantly working to improve the game based on what they hear. They’ve already received fantastic input from the community.
Wiebe highlights Battlefield Studios’ flexibility in adapting to player feedback. They’re willing to change existing plans or content to quickly address important issues the community raises about the game.
Look, we don’t just create a huge plan and stick to it no matter what. Things change – a lot! We’re constantly listening to what players are saying, checking out the feedback, and seeing how people are actually playing the game. That means our plans can shift based on what’s happening with the community and what we’re learning as we go.
It’s great that the studio is listening to player feedback, and even better that the developers are taking that feedback seriously and trying to make changes players want. We’ll soon find out if this approach works, as Season 2 is particularly important given the game’s recent problems and the recent job cuts at Motive Studio, DICE, Criterion, and Ripple Effect.
