Mark Fowler (played by Stephen Aaron-Sipple) in EastEnders might have a way out of his difficult situation, but he’s reluctant to take it.
Grant Mitchell’s son, Mark, unexpectedly returned to Walford earlier this year, causing immediate trouble for his uncle Phil. Mark confessed he was caught up with a dangerous drug gang who were forcing him to locate and murder a police informant.
If he didn’t comply with their demands, they’d target his sister Vicki (Alice Haig).
Things escalated quickly this week when Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara), who’s been secretly reporting to Jack Branning (Scott Maslen), discovered the police were looking for him. Panicked, he took matters into his own hands and, struggling with his mental health, drove Mark to a wooded area and pressured him to go through with something dangerous.
During the fight, Ravi’s partner, Priya Nandra-Hart, frantically tried to contact Vicki, hoping she could intervene. Priya was shocked that her brother would be mixed up with a gang and turned to Phil for explanations.

Once it was confirmed that Priya was telling the truth, the group went to Walford Common to find the men involved. They managed to stop Mark from seriously hurting anyone, and back in the Square, Vicki promised Priya she would resolve the entire situation.
When Priya got home, she cared for Ravi’s injuries and discovered scars on his body that indicated he had been hurting himself.
Today on the show, Ravi went to the gym to put off talking about how he was feeling. Meanwhile, Priya knew she needed to find Jack and explain what had occurred. He first pretended he wasn’t involved, hoping she was exaggerating, but he eventually admitted the truth.

He wasn’t happy that Ravi had told Mark about their work, and branded him a liability.
Vicki was deeply frightened and jumped at every sound, constantly fearing the gang would find her. The situation escalated when Mark angrily confronted her, scolding her for getting involved and endangering herself.

Vicki’s fiancé, Ross Marshall, played by Alex Walkinshaw, felt conflicted when he understood Vicki could be in danger if they didn’t give Ravi to the criminals.
Later on, Priya let me in on something surprising. Apparently, Jack wasn’t planning on arresting Mark for what he’d done, but only if Mark promised to not mention Ravi at all. It was a strange deal, and I couldn’t help but wonder what Ravi had to do with it all – a real plot twist, if you ask me!
How will Mark react to this potential lifeline, and what would it mean for Vicki?
