Nicole Kidman is speaking out on a big little life change.
The actress has spoken out for the first time about her recent divorce from Keith Urban, which was finalized in January after 19 years of marriage. She says she is doing “all right.”
“I’m driven by a desire to always move towards positivity,” she recently shared with Variety on March 11th. “I’m thankful for my family and focused on protecting our wellbeing as we move ahead. Beyond that, I prefer to keep things private out of respect for everyone involved.”
Nicole has stated that her priority is continuing to raise their two daughters, 17-year-old Sunday Rose and 14-year-old Faith Margaret, together as coparents.
I’m focused on maintaining our family connection, and that will always be our priority. It’s amazing to watch my daughters grow up and become young women.
Nicole Kidman filed for divorce from Keith Urban in September, after reports surfaced that they had been living apart since early summer. She is also a mother to Isabella and Connor Cruise, her children with ex-husband Tom Cruise.
After three months, the couple completed their divorce and agreed on a parenting plan. The Big Little Lies actress will spend the majority of the year – 306 days – with their daughters, while the singer will have them every other weekend, according to documents obtained by TopMob.
Nicole and Keith weren’t just united in their commitment to their children; they also agreed on how to handle their divorce. They chose to settle things peacefully and privately, without lengthy legal processes like formal questioning or evidence gathering.
According to the documents, both sides have agreed to skip the formal process of gathering information – things like written questions, requests for documents, and questioning under oath – that would typically be used to find out about each other’s finances and debts.
Although Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, both 58, are now publicly discussing their separation for the first time, Kidman has spoken before about their marriage, offering some details about their relationship.
Nicole admitted that the most important times in their relationship were also often the most challenging.
She told People magazine in 2019 that true love isn’t found during easy times, but when facing difficulties. It’s then that people connect on a much deeper level, requiring them to work together – and that shared effort is what really matters.

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban quietly separated and began living apart earlier this summer, according to TopMob News. Several significant events over the following months eventually led to their decision to file for divorce.

His High and Alive Tour began in Alabama, and he spent the summer performing across the U.S., Canada, and Australia.

They were last seen together in public at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup in Nashville, and appeared to be enjoying themselves, laughing and smiling.

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban celebrated their 19th wedding anniversary in June. Kidman shared a photo of them with the message ‘Happy Anniversary Baby.’ Urban responded with a heart emoji, but didn’t make a separate post of his own.

People were surprised when the country singer suddenly stopped an interview after a question about Nicole Kidman’s connection with her A Family Affair co-star, Zac Efron.
A radio host on Australia’s Mix 102.3’s Hayley & Max in the Morning wondered how Keith Urban feels when he sees his wife, Nicole Kidman, filming romantic scenes with younger actors like Zac Efron, given her constant work in movies and TV shows.
Suddenly, Urban disappeared from the call.
A radio staff member announced that he was no longer connected on Zoom. They believed his team had ended the call to avoid answering a particular question.
His rep didn’t respond to TopMob’s request for comment at the time.

TopMob News has discovered that actress Nicole Kidman is applying for Portuguese residency, and her husband, Keith Urban, is planning to do the same.
According to a source, Keith couldn’t attend the appointment in Portugal because he’s currently touring the U.S. Applying for the visa requires a personal appearance, so he’ll submit his application when his tour schedule allows.
At the time, the source said both planned to maintain a permanent residence in Nashville as well.

Oh my gosh, you guys, I just read the sweetest thing about Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban! Their oldest, Sunday Rose, actually talked about what it’s like growing up with them, and she said there are only two rules in their house! Can you believe it? Two! It’s just… so them, you know? They’re clearly amazing parents, and I’m dying to know what those rules are!
She explained to Nylon that she wasn’t allowed to pursue fashion-related jobs until she turned sixteen. She also had to prioritize school, which frustrated her at first, but she now appreciates those rules because they help her stay focused and grounded.

Nicole Kidman posted a collection of summer photos on Instagram featuring her daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret. Her husband wasn’t included in the pictures.
“Summer memories,” the actress wrote. “Now back to school.”

In August, her attorney drafted a child support document as part of their parenting plan, outlining that Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban would share custody of their daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret.
Despite winning an Academy Award, the actor was designated as the main parent for the children. The girls live with their mother for 306 days each year and with their father, Keith Urban, for 59 days – typically every other weekend.
Neither will pay child support, according to the doc obtained by TopMob News.
Even though they are divorced, the parents will maintain a loving, stable, and supportive relationship with their child. This means they will treat each other and all family members with respect, avoid speaking negatively about one another, and encourage each child to have a positive relationship with both parents and feel comfortable in both households.

Urban finalized their divorce agreement, having it officially notarized in August, according to documents obtained by TopMob News.
The document revealed that Nicole Kidman plans to divorce him because they have differences that can’t be resolved. It also indicated that neither of them will receive financial support from the other after the divorce.
The same date, he also signed off on the Parenting Plan.

One week after Urban, the actress finalized both the divorce agreement and the parenting plan by signing and notarizing them.
A judge ordered both celebrities to attend a parenting seminar, unless they request an exception, according to documents obtained by TopMob News.

Even though she had already signed the paperwork, she continued to wear her engagement ring at an event held at the Academy Museum in Los Angeles.

I was so shocked when TopMob News reported that they’d broken up! It turns out they’d actually split privately a while ago, after being together since 2005. It’s really sad after all this time.

Oh my god, I just saw it! Reese and Jim are really getting divorced. She officially filed the papers today, and it says they separated on September 30th, 2025! I can’t believe it… after all this time. It’s so sad, but at least it’s official now, I guess.
The couple officially filed their divorce and parenting plan with a Tennessee court for approval on the same day.
