■ Story
A Story of Four Ages across a Thousand Years
To break the curse affecting Princess Heuria of Huther, Elliot and Faie will travel through the Doorway of Time, visiting various moments in the past.
Elliot and Faie will journey backward in time, leaving their home era, the Age of Safekeeping, behind. Throughout their travels, a dangerous threat will constantly pursue them.

—Age of Budding: The Birth of Civilization

■ Age of Reconstruction

Before Elliot’s time, there was the Age of Reconstruction. It was a difficult era, following a period of great wealth, where the last of humanity struggled to survive among the ruins of the past.
The ancient protection spells no longer work against the monstrous beastmen. The people of Littlehope village are barely surviving, with few resources and little to defend themselves. While most have lost hope, a young man still believes things can get better.
■ Characcters
Heurich (voiced by Daniel Sean Smith in English, Nobuhiko Okamoto in Japanese)

Heurich is an adventurer originally from Littlehope. After meeting the hero, they quickly become friends, and Heurich shares details about ruins and treasures he’s found during his travels. He’s journeying across the land hoping to find a cure for his childhood friend, Diona, and believes the knowledge he gains will help restore the world to a brighter time.

Diona (voiced by Katrina Salisbury in English, Haruka Tomatsu in Japanese)

This woman grew up with Heurich in Littlehope, but a long-term illness mostly keeps her confined to her home. She’s known for being kind and is well-liked by the villagers, but she worries constantly about Heurich’s dangerous adventures. This often causes arguments between them.

Heurich (voiced by Rebecca Wang in English, Chiwa Saito in Japanese)

The historian of Littlehope, she’s a friend to both Heurich and Diona. Even with the world falling apart, she’s dedicated to studying history. She becomes fascinated by Elliot, noticing parallels between him and Heurich, and offers him guidance based on her knowledge.

■ System: Accessories
Besides weapons and magicite, Elliot can also equip and switch accessories whenever he wants through the equipment menu. These accessories provide helpful benefits for exploration and combat, so choose them based on the challenges of the current ruins or enemies.
The monocle lets you see twice as far, making it ideal for keeping a close watch for enemies. It’s especially useful against attackers who stay far away or bosses with powerful attacks.

The ‘Defalling Charm’ keeps Elliot safe from harm when he falls into pits or lava – a really helpful protection when you’re walking on tricky paths and moving platforms.

■ System: Quests
Throughout the game, you’ll meet people who need assistance. Listen to their stories and complete the tasks they ask of you. Many valuable items can only be earned by helping these characters.
Start a quest by talking to characters who have a quest marker above their heads. These quests can include collecting items, battling creatures, and completing various other tasks.

Okay, so heads up! Sometimes, as you play through the story, you might hit a point where you can’t finish certain side quests anymore. If the game warns you about this, definitely try to wrap those quests up before you move on with the main story. It’ll save you a headache later!

■ System: Shrines of Life
Scattered across the land are intriguing places called Shrines of Life. These shrines challenge players with puzzles and tests of skill, and those who succeed will earn unique rewards.

Shrines of Life always have a guidepost near the entrance, letting you easily retry if you fail.

The game features trials that test players with both battles and puzzles. Successfully completing a trial earns a Shrine of Life, which replenishes Elliot’s health. Gathering four Life Shards permanently increases Elliot’s maximum health by one point.

■ System: Bonus Drops
If you defeat enemies one after another without getting hit, you’ll activate a bonus that makes them drop extra loot. Getting hit will end the bonus.
Bonus Time lets you earn extra rewards! Defeat as many enemies as possible to get the resources you need for your next journey.

Besides tul, bonus drops make it easier to find useful items like arrows, bombs, and gear that boosts your attack and defense. The more enemies you defeat during a bonus, the higher the bonus level gets, and the better your chances of finding even more valuable items.

■ Adventuring Diversion: Cat Collecting
Cats are everywhere in Philabieldia, no matter what time period you’re in. Elliot can help these cats by finding them and bringing them to a traveler who loves cats. This traveler will give Elliot a reward based on how many cats he finds. After that, Elliot can keep and play with the cats he’s rescued.
If you’re out on an adventure and hear a cat meow, it’s worth investigating. Also, keep an eye out for any assistance Faie might provide.

You’ll earn useful rewards like tools to locate more cats and upgrades that let Elliot carry more arrows and bombs. So keep searching – don’t stop collecting!

You can give food to the cats you rescue and bring home, choosing from options like fish, meat, and cheese. Each cat has its own preferences, and feeding them what they like best will help them become more friendly towards you.

After a cat gets comfortable with you, feel free to bring it to the orphanage to enjoy some cat toys. You can find everything you need to care for your pet at the item shop.

The game The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales will be released on June 18th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC (through Steam and the Microsoft Store).
