While fans are excited about the upcoming movies Supergirl and Clayface, the TV series Lanterns might be the most interesting project of the year. Starring Kyle Chandler and Aaron Pierre as Hal Jordan and John Stewart, the show is generating buzz for its realistic, True Detectivestyle storytelling, as seen in the first trailer. According to Jeff Sneider, a source familiar with the industry, and confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter, actor Michael Pierre will return as John Stewart in the next Superman movie from director James Gunn. Production is expected to begin in April and continue through the summer, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
