Bluey stage show and 10 new episodes confirmed to be heading to streaming as release dates revealed

Bluey’s Big Play – The Stage Show and 10 new minisodes of the show are heading to Disney Plus.

The stage show, which is currently being performed throughout the UK and Ireland, will become available to stream on March 16, 2026.

Bluey’s Big Play is a live show based on the popular, award-winning animated series. It features Bluey and her friends as puppets, a brand new story written by the show’s creator, Joe Brumm, and original music by Joff Bush.

These short episodes, previously found only online and in Australia, will be available on Disney Plus starting May 20th.

Ludo Studio creates short episodes, lasting between one and three minutes, that delve deeper into the characters and setting of Bluey.

This collection features popular nursery rhymes and songs like Humpty Dumpty, Green Bottles, and Old Macdonald, as well as stories like Cinderella and playful tunes such as Honk and the Lollipop Song. It also includes Flying Saucer, Tea Party, and Pea Pod Sausages, and a song designed to Make Mum Laugh.

So, great news for all of us Bluey fans – they’re making a movie! But, fair warning, we’re going to have to be patient. It’s not coming out until 2027, which feels like ages away, but I’m already excited!

I was so excited when they announced the movie back in 2024! The creator, Danny Brumm, said he really loved working with the longer episodes in Season 3 of The Sign, and making a full-length film just felt like the next logical step for him – and honestly, for me as a fan, it makes perfect sense!

He added that he’s long believed Bluey would be perfect for a movie in theaters. He envisions it as a special experience the whole family can share.

I’m thrilled to keep working with Cecilia Persson, Tom Fussell, and everyone at BBC Studios, as well as Dana Walden, Alan Bergman, and Disney, to create a new Bluey movie.

Bluey is available to stream on Disney Plus. Sign up to Disney Plus from £4.99 per month.
