These Are the Most Award-Worthy Oscars Looks Ever

It’s nearly time to pull back the curtains on the 2026 Oscars.

Hosted by Conan O’Brien on March 15th, the event will not only honor great films, but also likely deliver memorable fashion statements, judging by previous red carpet appearances.

Ariana Grande’s stunning blush pink gown at the 2025 ceremony is a perfect example. She wore the Schiaparelli dress while nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Wicked. The dress had a fitted top and a dramatically flared skirt, but what really stood out were the incredible 190,000 crystals covering it.

The Grammy-winning singer wowed fans with not one, but two stunning outfits. Ariana, 32, changed her look for her performance of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” and “Defying Gravity” with Cynthia Erivo. Both outfits were by Schiaparelli, and the second, a ruby-red gown, was a tribute to the film directed by Jon M. Chu. The gown was intricately decorated with an incredible 150,000 beads, sequins, and Swarovski crystals.

At the time, Ariana gave designer Daniel Roseberry his flowers.

Ariana shared with Vogue that the dress was her way of honoring the iconic ruby slippers and Judy Garland. She explained that Daniel then took her vision and created an absolutely breathtaking piece inspired by the world of Oz. She feels incredibly special to have a lasting connection to Oz and to have brought that magic to life with Daniel, whom she described as a truly kind, beautiful, and talented person.

She shared, “Daniel and Schiaparelli mean everything to me, so it was a truly amazing honor to work with them and the entire team on both of my outfits for this event.”

Ariana wasn’t the only celebrity to rock pink at recent Oscars events. Gemma Chan also turned heads in a stunning hot pink Valentino gown at the 2019 ceremony.

I remember when Gemma Chan tried on that first gown – it was absolutely breathtaking! We knew immediately it had to be the one. The color was just so happy and vibrant, and the shape was stunning – truly everything a modern, high-fashion dress should be. We even went the extra mile and had a custom Jimmy Choo bag and shoes made to perfectly match the color. It was a complete look!

One of the most memorable Oscar looks ever was Halle Berry’s stunning Elie Saab gown. She wore it in 2002 when she made history as the first Black woman to win the Best Actress award, taking home the prize for her performance in Monster’s Ball.

In a 2021 interview with Vogue, Halle recalled feeling fantastic in the dress. She described it as having a delicate, revealing top adorned with small flowers, balanced by a full and impressive skirt.

That outfit—a beautifully made piece with a mesh top and a rich wine-colored skirt—really launched the designer’s career. It was the look that everyone started talking about, and it put them firmly on the fashion map. As someone who keeps a close eye on style, I can tell you it was a pivotal moment!

The actor, who recently wore the dress again at a 2024 event honoring the designer, explained that Elie Saab wasn’t as well-known back then. He was a new designer just starting out, and while it wasn’t the most famous brand the actor could have chosen, the dress itself felt truly special and helped him express his individuality.
