Netflix’s One Piece Cast Hints at Season 3 Release

The second season of One Piece is now available on Netflix, following the Straw Hat Pirates as they enter the Grand Line. Over eight episodes, Luffy and his crew visit locations like Drum Island, Loguetown, and Little Garden, quickly becoming a hit with viewers. Fans are already excited for season three, and the cast is optimistic that it will arrive much sooner than the previous wait between seasons one and two.

Emily Rudd, who plays Nami in the live-action series, recently told Collider that production on season three is a priority now that the strikes have ended. She emphasized how much the cast and crew enjoy working on the show and believe fans are eager for more episodes. Rudd explained that while a significant amount of the show is filmed practically, post-production still requires considerable time to add effects and polish. However, everyone involved is working as quickly as possible to release the new season.

What Will One Piece’s Third Season Be?

Now that Tony Tony Chopper has joined the Straw Hat crew as their doctor, the story is moving into the Alabasta arc. This arc focuses on Princess Vivi’s homeland, which is under attack by the villain Crocodile, portrayed by Joe Manganiello in the live-action series. Although his full strength wasn’t shown in the season two finale, fans of the original story know Crocodile is a major threat.

I’ve been following the live-action One Piece series on Netflix, and it sounds like they’re already well into casting for the next big story arc! Beyond Crocodile and Alabasta appearing in season three, they’ve brought on some fantastic actors. I was excited to learn Xolo Mariduena, who I remember from Cobra Kai, will be playing Luffy’s brother, Portgas D. Ace. They’ve also cast some key villains – Cole Escola as Bon Clay, Daisy Head as Miss Doublefinger, and Awdo Awdo as Mr. 1. While everyone involved is eager to get season three out, it looks like we probably won’t see these new characters until 2027.

Netflix hasn’t announced whether One Piece will get a fourth season yet. However, the actors are optimistic, sharing that the show’s creator, Eiichiro Oda, has a vision for how the series will eventually end, suggesting it could run for many seasons to come.
