Xbox Game Pass just added a fantastic open-world RPG, considered one of the best of the last few years. Players should be prepared to spend a significant amount of time with it – at least 25 to 30 hours to finish the main story. Exploring everything the game has to offer, including all the side quests and activities, will likely take 60 to 65 hours. For those who aim to complete absolutely everything, expect to spend 100 hours or more.
Xbox Series X owners with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or Premium can now play the complete game Cyberpunk 2077. Microsoft hasn’t said how long Cyberpunk 2077 will be available on the service, but most games stay for one or two years, though shorter terms of six or three months are sometimes used. Occasionally, games remain available for even longer. While it’s on Game Pass, subscribers can buy the open-world RPG with a 20% discount.
One of Gaming’s Best Comeback Stories
While No Man’s Sky has its own impressive turnaround story, Cyberpunk 2077 would likely be considered the greatest comeback in gaming history if it hadn’t existed. It’s easy to forget just how badly Cyberpunk 2077 launched in 2020 – it was plagued with performance problems, countless bugs, and didn’t live up to the hype. The situation was so severe that PlayStation actually removed the game from its store and offered refunds, something rarely seen. However, the game today, in 2026, is drastically different. Thanks to consistent updates and improvements, CD Projekt Red has finally delivered on the game’s promise, making Cyberpunk 2077 one of the best role-playing games of the decade.
While the main Cyberpunk 2077 game is now available, the Phantom Liberty expansion isn’t included. Phantom Liberty adds a substantial 20-30 hours of excellent gameplay. Currently, it’s not discounted, so players who enjoy Cyberpunk 2077 and want to experience Phantom Liberty will need to purchase it from the Xbox Store for $30.
If you think it’s too late to try this game, especially with a sequel on the way, think again. It’s still a great experience, and even more reason to play it now is that the upcoming sequel is expected to be huge. Don’t miss out on the sequel, or the full story – the game is currently available for free!
