Lisa Rinna is putting a spotlight on her iconic hair once again—and it’s not on her head this time.
Former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star wore a stunning, custom-made gown crafted from around 11 pounds of dark brown human hair to the Elton John AIDS Foundation’s Oscars viewing party on March 15th.
Lisa’s dress featured intricately woven locks that formed a strapless top and flowed down into a long, elegant skirt. She was amazed when she finally saw it.
She exclaimed in an Instagram Story video on March 15th, clearly impressed with something. “Wow, look at how beautiful!” she said. “This is going to be the best hair day ever. I’ve never had this much hair – it’s incredible! It’s truly iconic, from root to tip.”
Though 62-year-old Lisa Rinna didn’t seem to be hoping for an Oscar, her outfit was stunning and award-worthy. She accessorized with a beautiful diamond necklace and her classic, full pixie cut. (Check out the full list of Oscar winners here.)

Christian Cowan recently told me about his show-stopping ensemble, and it’s fascinating how much goes into even what seems effortless. Like most amazing hairstyles, it took a village – or at least, a good arsenal of hairspray and texturizing products – to get it just right!
The designer explained in a press release on March 15th that the goal with the TRESemmé A-List Hair Couture Dress was to make hair the main focus. They emphasized that the hairstyle isn’t just an accessory to the outfit – it is the outfit.
The dress was a stunning creation, taking 16 people over 152 hours to make. It also served as a tribute to all the dedicated work happening behind the scenes before award shows, and was completed with support from a hair care company.
He explained that the project aimed to highlight the connection between hairstyling and fashion, demonstrating how the two can create something truly unique and surprising.
For Christian, Lisa was the perfect person to bring the gown to life on the red carpet.
He told People he wanted to highlight Lisa’s incredible talent and beauty. He also mentioned her famous hair and thought it would be playful to focus on that.
