How to get Paper in Pokémon Pokopia explained

If you’re wondering how to get Paper in Pokémon Pokopia, then you’ve come to the right place.

Like wood, paper is a handy resource with many uses throughout Pokopia.

Unlike Lumber, however, it’s not exactly obvious how you’re supposed to get your hands on it.

So, for a quick overview of how to make Paper for yourself, let’s get into it!

How to get Paper in Pokémon Pokopia explained

To obtain Paper in Pokémon Pokopia, simply give Wastepaper to a Pokémon that knows the Recycle move.

You can find Wastepaper in two locations: Sparkling Skylands, a late-game area, and Drifloon’s Dream Island, which you can access by showing a Dragonite Doll.

Once you’ve got your Wastepaper, you’ll need to find a Pokémon with the Recycle specialty.

You’ll probably encounter Trubbish first, as it appears during the story on Bleak Beach.

Including Trubbish, here’s a full list of all the Pokémon with the Recycle specialty:

  • Magnezone
  • Koffing
  • Weezing
  • Trubbish
  • Garbodor
  • Cinccino
  • Porygon
  • Porygon2
  • Beldum
  • Metang
  • Metagross

Similar to other recyclable items, give your wastepaper to a Recycle Pokémon and let them handle it.

Each piece of wastepaper you recycle will be transformed into two pieces of paper, effectively doubling your supply.

You’ll need Paper not only for making items like Bookshelves and Books, but also to finish Skyland Building 4F in the quests ‘Rebuild the Huge Building!’, ‘Important Request’, and the third ‘Team Initiation Challenge’.
