Here is an overview of the game, via its Steam page:
About
Okay, so things are changing. This Red Star appearing feels like the start of something huge. Apparently, this being called the Simulacrum – it’s like it just woke up – is on a mission to gather this stuff called Ichor. It’s basically the blood of the gods, and these terrifying monsters are the ones holding onto it. It’s going to be wild, I can feel it!
Voidwrought is a quick and exciting 2D platformer where you’ll run, jump, and fight your way through challenging levels. You can collect powerful items called Artifacts to change how you play, and build a shrine by gathering followers from the ruins of the Gray City. Get ready for tough boss fights too!
Delve Beneath the Surface
Venture beneath the harsh, sun-baked land and delve into the complex world hidden below. Experience the twisted celebrations of the Court, get lost in the frozen passages of the Old Waters, and uncover the tragic story of the Abandoned Expedition.
Voidwrought is a fresh and exciting take on the Metroidvania style, offering precise controls, a captivating world to explore, and a rich backstory to uncover.
Unleash Ancient Artifacts
As a long-time follower of this world, I’ve learned it’s packed with incredible treasures – things that scholars, heroes, and even those a little bit crazy are always searching for. To get your hands on these Artifacts, which can give you amazing abilities, you’ll need to explore every nook and cranny. That means searching through ancient shrines, even going as far as to loot the remains of fallen gods, and hunting in the most remote parts of the universe. It’s a dangerous journey, but the rewards are worth it!
As a player, I’m really excited about the Artifact system! You can find and customize over 30 different Artifacts – everything from cool spectral weapons to helpful passive boosts. It’s awesome because you can really tailor them to how you like to play the game.
Build your Shrine
I’m really into this game where you start with a small group of devoted followers. We’re trying to revive an old religion, basically building up from nothing. As we grow our shrine and gain more followers, we dig deeper into these ancient ruins, and that’s when things get interesting – we’re uncovering all sorts of secrets, cool rewards, but also some seriously scary stuff. It’s awesome!
