Capcom isn’t the only game developer moving up its release date. TT Games just announced that LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight will now be available on May 22nd, a week sooner than the originally scheduled May 29th.
There isn’t a specific reason to change the release date, but the game 007 First Light might be the cause. It was originally planned for March 27th, but was pushed back to May 27th – the same week as Legacy of the Dark Knight. TT Games and Warner Bros. Games likely want to avoid competing with another popular title, especially given how well-known James Bond is.
Fans of Batman have a lot to look forward to, particularly with how Legacy of the Dark Knight is coming together. The developers recently shared details about their dedication to faithfully recreating memorable moments from Batman’s history, like the Joker’s museum vandalism set to Prince’s “Partyman” from Tim Burton’s Batman.
The game will feature a smaller number of playable characters, but each one is more detailed and complex than typical LEGO figures. This fits well with the game’s more involved, action-packed combat. We also got a closer look at how the villains and their underlings function throughout Gotham City – you can find more information about that here.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is coming to Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2.
