Freddie Prinze Jr.is feeling all that, now that he’s entered a new decade of life.

Freddie Prinze Jr. and his wife, Sarah Michelle Gellar, went out to celebrate his 50th birthday on March 8th.

The couple, married since 2002, celebrated with a party for their friends and family at Juniper Garden, located at the 1 Hotel in West Hollywood, California.

Sarah, 48, and Freddie made a stylish entrance, even coordinating their outfits in shades of gold and cream. Sarah, known for her role in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and recently having learned the Hulu reboot was canceled, wore a glittering gold minidress with matching heels. Freddie went with a more relaxed look, pairing a cream shirt, tan sweater, and khakis with sneakers.

Oh my gosh, I nearly lost it when I saw them together! Can you believe it’s been almost 25 years since these two – yes, Charlotte’s and Rocky’s amazing parents! – first got together? It’s SO rare to see them out on a date, it makes my heart ache with happiness. I did some digging, and apparently the last time they walked a red carpet together was back in July for the premiere of I Know What You Did Last Summer! Seriously, it was a magical moment, I’m still buzzing!

Sarah and Freddie intentionally keep their long-term relationship private, but they’re happy to share advice for a lasting marriage—and they’re always honest about what works for them.

Sarah has a straightforward solution: separate bathrooms. “That’s what I always say,” the Star Search judge explained to TopMob News back in January.

Her husband thinks the best way to have a successful marriage is to rely on each other and not listen to advice from others.

He told TopMob News last July that he’d never received helpful advice. A lot of the marriage advice he got came from divorced men who expected his marriage to fail as well, and he believes they were really just projecting their own problems onto him.

Acknowledging that advice can be tricky – what works for one person might not work for another, like an allergy to peanut butter – the former Scooby Doo star shared, “I’ve definitely received some unhelpful marriage advice over the years.”

Freddie also believed their success came from intentionally staying away from the usual places in Hollywood.

He explained on the Oldish podcast in 2024 that staying out of the public eye has been simple for them because he rarely goes out. He and his wife, Sarah, generally avoid popular spots and prefer restaurants that aren’t frequented by paparazzi, which helps them maintain their privacy.
