Warner Bros. recently shared some new details about Dune: Part Three, and fans are already talking about it. A lot of the conversation is focused on Robert Pattinson’s character and how the story seems to be changing.
Fans are in awe of Robert Pattinson’s genre-shifting future post Dune 3 poster
New posters for the third Dune movie have sparked online conversations about what Robert Pattinson is working on next, and how he chooses such diverse roles.
Fans are excited about Robert Pattinson’s upcoming film projects, praising his diverse roles in “Dune Part Three,” a currently untitled drama, “The Odyssey,” and “The Batman Part Two.” Many believe he’s about to have a truly remarkable period in his career, with one user calling it a “generational run.” Social media is filled with enthusiastic reactions like, “Shoutout Robert Pattinson!” and comments highlighting the impressive range of his upcoming films.
Warner Bros. has revealed new posters showcasing Robert Pattinson’s character, who is believed to be the villain Scytale. The posters also feature familiar faces like Jason Momoa as Duncan Idaho. Directed by Denis Villeneuve, the third film in the series is based on Frank Herbert’s Dune Messiah and picks up the story about 12 years after the events of Dune: Part Two. The movie shows Paul Atreides now as Emperor, and will be in theaters on December 18th.
The latest promotional images showcase the cast of the film, including Zendaya as Chani and Rebecca Ferguson as Lady Jessica. Javier Bardem plays Stilgar, and Florence Pugh appears as Princess Irulan. Anya Taylor-Joy is featured as Alia Atreides, alongside Isaach de Bankolé as Fremen leader Farok. One poster highlights Alia with a striking, close-up shot of her bloodied face, suggesting a much larger role for her character than previously seen – she was only shown in visions before.
The story focuses on both Alia and Princess Irulan, with Irulan’s marriage to Paul being a major part of the plot. While the novel Dune Messiah doesn’t feature Lady Jessica, the film brings her character back. Josh Brolin returns as Gurney Halleck, though in a smaller capacity. Nakoa-Wolf Momoa and Ida Brooke play Paul and Chani’s children, Leto II and Ghanima Atreides.
Director Denis Villeneuve has stated that this movie will finish the story he began in his Dune trilogy. It will first be shown in select IMAX theaters during its opening weekend, and will be released at the same time as the new Avengers movie – a period fans have playfully nicknamed ‘Dunesday’.
