In the beginning of Crimson Desert, you can survive by finding and taking whatever equipment you come across. However, you’ll soon need a lot of actual money. Luckily, earning money isn’t too difficult if you know the right methods.
This guide is all about earning copper, silver, and gold quickly and efficiently in Crimson Desert.
Red Croton Farming
From the beginning of the game, you can easily gather resources near a fast travel point. Go south of Hernand into The Witchwoods to find the Abyss Nexus. Around there, you’ll find lots of Red Crotons, which you can collect in groups of 50 and sell. After you’ve collected all the flowers, take some time to search the area for other useful materials you can gather.
You can quickly sell items at the Abyss Nexus and return to Hernand for profit. Come back to this spot after about a week to repeat the process and collect more items.
Selling Loot
You’ll collect a lot of extra items and equipment, so just sell them to any shopkeeper you find.
Always try to collect as much loot as possible so you can sell it for profit.
Hunting
Wild animals provide useful materials that you can collect and sell without a fight. These materials will also be helpful for improving your equipment later on.
You could actually make more money by upgrading your armor before you sell it.
Ore Farming
Minerals are somewhat rare in Pywel, so it’s best to save them for upgrading your equipment early in the game, even though they do reappear over time. If you’re short on cash and sure you won’t need the ores later, you can always sell them.
Early in the game, diamonds aren’t essential, so you can use them without worrying too much. They’ll reappear later when you actually need them. You can find a good diamond mine in a cave within a crater, located west of Unicorn Cliff in Hernand.
With diamonds costing a little over two and a quarter silvers each, and each node potentially holding up to eight of them, it’s easy to accumulate wealth quickly.
You can explore the entire game world right away. This means you’re free to find rare resources in faraway places, even before you get to them through the main story.
Thievery
Robbing the Hernand bank can get you around a hundred silver early in the game, but it’s not a good idea. It will severely lower your reputation in town, slowing down your progress until you complete quests to fix it.
Okay, so to pull this off, you’re gonna need a Mask. It basically lets you get away with doing some shady stuff. You can find them by beating up bandits, sometimes you get one as a reward for taking on a bounty, or you can just buy one straight from Grimrak at his shop in the Back Alley.
A Key is also required, and can be either a random drop, or a purchase from Grimrak.
The chests in the bank will respawn after a few days, but the strongboxes do not.
Gold Bar Alchemy Recipe
You can craft Gold Bars if you have the blueprint. Once you do, you can either visit the Witches or the Blacksmith and use the necessary materials to create them.
- Brimstone x3
- Mercury x3
- Silver Ore x10
Go to Silver Wolf Mountain in Pailune. You’ll find the blueprint inside a secret cave with a small opening, located within the Witch’s Hideout.
On the map, this landmark is located directly south of the letter ‘U’ in ‘Pailune’ and east of the letter ‘I’.
Those are some of the best ways to grind for money in Crimson Desert.
