We Chase Shadows by Richard Osman is scheduled for release on 10 September 2026.
This book is the second in S.A. Osman’s ‘We Solve Murders’ series. It continues the story of Amy Wheeler, a security officer, along with her father-in-law Steve Wheeler and their colleague Rosie D’Antonio as they investigate new cases.
The story begins with the discovery of a body at an Italian villa, launching three investigators on an exciting, worldwide mystery.

What is We Chase Shadows about?
We Chase Shadows sees Amy, Rose and Steve return for another high-stakes case.
This time, the team’s investigation takes them on a puzzling journey, starting in the Italian countryside and winding through Barcelona, Steve’s quiet hometown pub, and finally ending in Palm Springs.
While hunting a dangerous and cunning killer, the detectives quickly realize everyone is hiding something, and appearances can be deceiving.
According to Osman, the book promises “lots of thrills, lots of laughs, and lots of murders”.
