Sam publicly thanked Dr. Stam Lerakis, Dr. Sharma, and the nursing staff at Mount Sinai’s Fuster Heart Hospital in an Instagram post from March 22nd. He shared that he’d had a nuclear stress test last Thursday, which revealed some issues that needed attention. He then underwent a cardiac catheterization procedure to address those issues and reported that everything went well.
Sam didn’t share many details about his medical procedure, but he reassured everyone that he’s going to be alright. He explained, “I’m doing well and should fully recover thanks to the treatment I received.”
Sam shared a selfie on Instagram from his hospital bed with the caption, “After a little work, I’ll be back to normal.”
Sam received lots of supportive messages from his coworkers and friends, including one from Robin Roberts who wrote, “Let me know if you need anything – wishing you a quick recovery!”
ABC meteorologist Ginger Zee sent well wishes, saying “healing vibes.” Today anchor and weatherman Al Roker also offered support, writing, “Sam The Man. Glad you’re on the mend my friend.”
Amid his stay, the 64-year-old was absent from the March 23 GMA broadcast.

She didn’t share her diagnosis until 2025, when she revealed on Instagram that she had been privately struggling with the condition for over ten years.

He explained that just a few weeks or a month prior, he was able to squat 295 pounds, but now he can’t even do a squat, losing his balance even when trying to stand on one foot. Thankfully, Brendan Rooney – seriously, he’s an angel – instantly jumped into action. He checked me over, figured out how bad it was, and just raced me to the hospital. Amy Schumer is grateful for the internet, despite its often harsh nature, because it helped her discover a health issue. After noticing she looked “puffier” during interviews, she was surprised to see doctors commenting online, concerned about her appearance and suggesting she might have Cushing syndrome. This prompted her to realize she’d been receiving steroid injections for past procedures like a breast reduction and C-section, which could have caused the condition. Schumer explained she wouldn’t have known about the possible issue without the online feedback. She suddenly started having stroke-like symptoms, struggling to speak and noticing her face drooping. Although her symptoms briefly stopped, she went to the hospital for evaluation. Doctors discovered she’d had a small blood clot travel to her brain, which they identified as a TIA, or transient ischemic attack. Further testing at UCLA revealed Hailey had a hole in her heart called a patent foramen ovale (PFO). The blood clot had passed through this hole and caused the TIA. Hailey successfully underwent a procedure to close the PFO and is now doing well.

The same year Hailey faced a health issue, Justin also experienced one. In June 2022, he revealed he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which caused temporary paralysis on one side of his face. This forced him to cancel the rest of his Justice World Tour.
In a video posted to Instagram, Justin explained the condition affected the nerves in his ear and face, preventing him from blinking, smiling, or moving his nostril on the affected side. He also shared it had become increasingly difficult to eat.
Fortunately, the paralysis eventually went away. Hailey shared on Good Morning America that Justin was recovering well, calling the situation scary and random, but expressing gratitude that he was going to be okay.

A hospital scan revealed she had suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage – a life-threatening stroke caused by a ruptured aneurysm. She immediately underwent surgery to repair it, but the pain was excruciating. During her recovery, she experienced aphasia, struggling to speak coherently.
Though she was discharged after a month, a 2013 scan revealed the aneurysm had grown and required a second surgery. This procedure initially failed, causing a major bleed and putting her life at risk. Doctors had to perform a more invasive surgery, accessing her brain directly through her skull.
Fortunately, Emilia Clarke is now fully recovered and says she is “at a hundred per cent.”

She faced a confusing array of diagnoses from different doctors.
Determined to find answers, Woodley, who prefers to keep her specific condition private, combined traditional medical care with holistic and herbal remedies. This search for well-being spanned a decade.
She explained that the physical discomfort led to deeper issues, including fear of food and struggles with body image, identity, and feeling comfortable in her own body.
Fortunately, after years of focusing on both her physical and mental health, Woodley is now feeling much better and considers herself very healthy. She expressed gratitude for her recovery.
