The original Slay the Spire was a massive success, popularizing its unique card-based combat. When Slay the Spire II launched in Early Access in March 2026, it quickly became even more popular, rising to become a top ten game on Steam – impressive for a game that isn’t even fully released! Like the first game, Slay the Spire II features a variety of powerful relics, including many new ones. We’ve reviewed the complete list and selected five of the best, which are useful in any deck or strategy, presented here in random order.
1) Yummy Cookie

Most powerful items in the game have drawbacks, meaning you usually get a benefit only under specific circumstances. However, the Yummy Cookie is exceptional – it’s one of the best relics you can find with no downsides at all. This rare, high-level item is well worth getting when you see it. Being able to upgrade four cards simultaneously can dramatically improve your chances of success in a run, and it complements any playstyle. While other relics can upgrade cards, the Yummy Cookie’s effect is permanent, making it truly special.
2) Byrdpip

Okay, so Byrdpip is a really awesome relic you find during a run. When you grab it, you instantly get the ‘Byrd Swoop’ card, and a little Byrdpip buddy shows up next to you in battles – it’s super cute! The best part? Byrd Swoop costs zero energy to play and deals a solid 14 damage. That’s a huge help, especially when you’re starting out. Seriously, upgrade this card as soon as you can – it’s basically free damage whenever it shows up! If you see Byrdpip during a run, definitely pick it up, you won’t regret it – it’s totally worth it!
3) Miniature Tent

The Miniature Tent is a powerful relic that lets you do more at rest sites. Normally, when you rest, you can only choose one action – like healing or upgrading a card. But with the Miniature Tent, you can do as many as you want, which helps you stay healthy and improve your deck at the same time. If you also find the Shovel relic, things get even better – you’ll receive a free relic at every rest site when you have both!
4) Razor Tooth

The Razor Tooth is a powerful, rare relic that temporarily boosts your cards during battle. Whenever you play an Attack or Skill card, it gets an upgrade for the rest of the fight. This is especially helpful in long battles against bosses, where you repeatedly reshuffle your deck. As you continue, most of your upgraded Attack and Skill cards will reappear, making you stronger the longer you last. While some relics permanently upgrade only a few cards, the Razor Tooth offers broader, temporary improvements, making it a great choice to pick up.
5) Toxic Egg

The Toxic Egg is a powerful, rare item that boosts any skills you include in your card deck. If you find it early in a game of Slay the Spire II, all skills you add from then on will be automatically upgraded – and skills are some of the most important cards in the game. Other eggs offer similar benefits: the Frozen Egg upgrades power cards, and the Molten Egg permanently upgrades attack cards. However, because skills are so versatile, the Toxic Egg generally provides the biggest advantage in most playthroughs.
