On April 9th, the fast-paced VR shooter WRATH: Aeon of Ruin VR – Brutal Edition will be available on PlayStation VR2, SteamVR, and Meta Quest 2 and 3. This was announced by publishers 3D Realms and Fulqrum Publishing, along with developers KillPixel and Flat2VR Studios.
Here is an overview of the game, via Flat2VR Studios:
About
The Old World is rotting. Its Guardians have fallen. The corruption spreads.
You’re the Outlander, mysteriously drawn from the depths and tasked with a dangerous mission by the Shepherd of Wayward Souls. Explore crumbling ruins and haunted forests, battling relentless hordes. Stay in motion, keep fighting, and never stop, or darkness will consume you.
Brutal Edition is a completely rebuilt and improved version of WRATH designed for virtual reality. The goal was to create a more intense and realistic experience, featuring dynamic movement, explosive combat, and plenty of blood. This edition also includes numerous refinements to the combat, sound, visuals, and overall polish, making it the best way to play Wrath – and it’s going to be incredibly messy!
WRATH: Aeon of Ruin VR – Brutal Edition is a fast-paced and intense experience. It demands quick reactions, close-quarters combat, and constant strategic thinking. You’ll need to rapidly switch between clearing a path, aiming accurately, and using movement options like sliding and dashing, as well as utilizing artifacts to create opportunities.
