About
Diary of Corporal Wilson, March 7th, 1945.
Somewhere near Remagen, Germany.
We unexpectedly captured the Remagen bridge, achieving a major breakthrough. Our quick advance was key. It was a cold day, thankfully without snow, but you could still see our breath in the air. Despite the chill, we moved fast, using our Sherman tanks to outflank their anti-tank guns, secured the east side of the bridge with artillery fire, and advanced before they could respond.
Honestly, it was rigged to explode, but we were just too quick! They didn’t even get a chance to react. It wasn’t about having the biggest guns, it was about perfect timing, careful planning, and everyone working together. Every single thing we did mattered, and we actually made it through! I really think this could be the turning point, maybe even the start of the end for this awful war.
Sudden Strike 5 puts you in command of real-time WWII battles. With tons of tactical choices and over 300 units to control, you can approach each of the 25 campaign missions in Europe and North Africa in many different ways.
Good timing is crucial. Take advantage of opportunities – like capturing important areas for reinforcements or destroying bridges to slow down the enemy. Be smarter than your opponents, manage your resources carefully, and position yourself strategically to win battles.
Choose your tactics wisely—we’ll meet you in the trenches!
