Rosalía Abruptly Cancels Milan Concert Mid-Show Due to Health Issue

Sometimes the show must not go on.

During her Lux tour performance in Milan, Rosalía tried to continue singing despite feeling unwell, but she had to stop the concert suddenly because of her illness.

Rosalía explained to the audience at her March 24th concert, in a video shared on Instagram, that she was very ill with food poisoning. She said she’d been sick since the beginning but tried to finish the show, even though she was vomiting and feeling terrible. She wanted to give a great performance and was doing her best despite being extremely unwell.

Clutching her stomach, the 33-year-old singer said she could attempt to finish her performance, but warned she might need to stop at some point.

She continued, saying she wanted me to have a good experience. She admitted this was a new and difficult situation for her, and that she was doing her best despite being in pain. She apologized and explained she’d hoped to remain strong, but needed a moment to recover.

Despite her best efforts, the performer—known for appearing at Berghain—briefly stopped the show, telling the audience she loved them and hoped to return when she was feeling better.

Later that day, Rosalía showed she was recovering – though not physically, as she’d actually been hospitalized. She shared a photo on her Instagram Stories of herself on a hospital stretcher.

She shared a happy photo and wrote, “Feeling much better! Thank you to everyone for all the support and kindness. Thank you, Milan!”

Rosalía hasn’t said whether she’ll move her Milan concert or any other shows in Europe. She’s currently scheduled to perform four nights in Madrid starting March 30th, and then continue to cities like Lisbon, Barcelona, Berlin, and London. Her tour will then move to North and South America, beginning in Miami on June 4th and concluding in Puerto Rico on September 3rd.

Even though these cities are typical stops for a large tour, Rosalía carefully chose them. Her album, Lux, released last November, is a beautiful tribute to the countries that influenced its unique, stripped-down but richly layered sound.

Rosalía recently told NPR that her travels and exposure to diverse music and cultures have deeply influenced her work. She feels a strong connection to these experiences and wants to weave them into her music, believing that she is shaped by the world around her, and vice versa. She hopes her music reflects a boundless and inclusive love. Rosalía also shared that she’s most drawn to art that beautifully blends personal experiences with universal themes—art that isn’t perfectly defined, but rather a little ambiguous.

As Rosalía continues to recover, keep reading to see more stars who experienced a health scare…

Okay, so this is a little personal, but I’m sharing because it happens! It was definitely a surprise, and a reminder that even as a pro, things can happen out there you don’t expect!

She reassured her sister, Bella Garcia, that they would get the issue resolved eventually. She explained to the doctor that as soon as she finalized her divorce and retired from her current job, she’d return to address the problem and ensure everything looked its best, because she planned to actively use whatever ‘these girls’ referred to in the future, and they couldn’t appear in their current condition.

Lupita Nyong’o, known for her role in 12 Years a Slave, received a diagnosis of uterine fibroids—non-cancerous growths in or around the uterus—in 2014, the same year she won an Academy Award for her performance in the film.

She didn’t reveal her diagnosis until 2025, sharing on Instagram that she had been privately struggling with it for over ten years.

She explained that growing up, many of us are taught to accept period pain as a normal part of being a woman. This often leaves us dealing with a very common experience in silence and on our own.

In July 2025, the actress from Daisy Jones & The Six revealed she was hospitalized for a hernia. This happened because she had been wearing pants that were too tight, which caused a gap to form in her abdominal muscles.

“It’s been incredibly difficult,” Devine shared on the In Depth With Graham Bensinger podcast in 2025. “I’ve been experiencing spasms all over my body, and doctors recently told me I was facing a life-threatening situation—within the last year, actually.”

He explained that his pain is intermittent, saying, “My body has a few quirks and isn’t quite perfect.”

Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe this! I just found out that he actually had to crawl to the hospital! Apparently, his back was absolutely killing him, and it got so much worse on this RV trip he took with a friend. I’m seriously so worried about him! It just breaks my heart to think about him in that much pain.

He described a lingering tingling sensation in his knees and toes, saying it was “crazy” even weeks after the initial issue. He explained that just a month prior, he was able to squat 295 pounds, but now he can’t even do a basic squat or stand on one foot without falling. He compared the feeling to having a stroke.

But with the help of a back specialist and some steroids, he added, “We’re on the mend.”

Amy Schumer is grateful for the internet, even though it can be harsh, because it helped her discover a health issue. After noticing she looked “puffier” during interviews, people online began commenting, and surprisingly, some doctors chimed in, expressing concern that she might have Cushing syndrome. This prompted Amy to realize she’d been receiving steroid injections after a breast reduction and C-section – injections that ultimately caused the condition. She wouldn’t have known about it without the online comments. Amy recently shared that she’s relieved to learn her type of Cushing syndrome will resolve on its own, and she’s healthy – the best news she could have hoped for.

In March 2022, Hailey Bieber experienced a frightening health scare while having breakfast with her husband, Justin Bieber. She suddenly began to have stroke-like symptoms, struggling to speak and noticing her face drooping. Although these symptoms eventually passed, she went to the hospital for evaluation. Doctors discovered she had a small blood clot in her brain, which they identified as a TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack). Further testing at UCLA revealed Hailey had a hole in her heart called a patent foramen ovale (PFO). This hole allowed the blood clot to travel to her brain, causing the TIA. Hailey successfully underwent a procedure to close the PFO and is now recovering well.

The same year Hailey faced a health issue, Justin also experienced one. In June 2022, he revealed he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, a condition that caused temporary paralysis on one side of his face. This forced him to cancel the remaining dates of his Justice World Tour.

In a video posted to Instagram, Justin explained that the virus affected the nerves in his ear and face, causing paralysis. He showed his followers that he couldn’t blink, smile, or move his nostril on the affected side, and that it was becoming increasingly difficult to eat. Fortunately, the paralysis eventually went away.

Hailey shared on Good Morning America that Justin was recovering well and feeling much better. She described it as a frightening and unexpected situation, but expressed her relief that he was going to be okay.

In his 2024 Netflix special, What Had Happened Was…, he explained that he suffered a severe headache one day and lost consciousness before he could even take an aspirin. He doesn’t remember the next twenty days.

Initially, a doctor gave him a cortisone shot and sent him home, but his sister, Deidra Dixon, was worried and took him to the hospital. There, they discovered he had a brain bleed that led to a stroke.

After surgery, twenty days later, on May 4th, Jamie woke up in a wheelchair unable to walk. He then went to Chicago for extensive rehabilitation and therapy. He expressed his gratitude for the prayers he received, saying, “I needed every prayer.”

While filming the series, she experienced a sudden, severe headache while at the gym. She described collapsing and being violently ill, quickly realizing something was seriously wrong with her brain.

A hospital scan revealed she had suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage, a life-threatening stroke caused by a ruptured aneurysm. She immediately underwent surgery to repair it, but the pain was excruciating. During her recovery, she experienced aphasia, leaving her unable to speak coherently.

Though the aphasia eventually passed and she was discharged after a month, a 2013 scan revealed the aneurysm had grown and required a second surgery. This procedure failed, causing a massive bleed, and doctors warned her survival was at risk. They were forced to perform a more invasive surgery, accessing her brain directly through her skull.

Fortunately, Emilia reports she has now made a full recovery and is at 100%.

In a September 2024 podcast interview, she explained that she experienced hearing loss, extreme fatigue, and digestive problems, and received conflicting diagnoses from doctors. Determined to find answers, Woodley, who comes from a holistic health background and studies herbalism, sought help from both traditional doctors and alternative healers. This search for well-being lasted for ten years. The physical discomfort led to emotional challenges, including fear of food and struggles with body image and identity.
