When Saros director Gregory Louden recently joined the media in Helsinki, he likely anticipated questions about whether their new roguelike game would be released on PC.
And his answer reflects an employee on the tip of his toes.
When asked about bringing the game to other platforms, he told Game Informer they were currently focused solely on Saros and its release on the PlayStation 5.
This is a relevant question, considering the popular game Returnal was released on PC about two years after it first came out on PlayStation 5.
Bloomberg reports Sony is moving away from releasing its single-player games on multiple platforms and is now prioritizing exclusive titles. According to journalist Jason Schreier, the development of ports for two games, Ghost of Yotei and Saros, was cancelled internally.
We’re still awaiting a statement from the platform owner, but it’s clear Housemarque wasn’t able to share much information with us.
Fair play, Louden – you came prepared.
