Zendaya Reveals Marriage Philosophy Amid Tom Holland Wedding Rumors

Zendaya thinks falling in love with your best friend has a special kind of ring to it.

With rumors circulating that Zendaya and Tom Holland may have secretly tied the knot, she recently shared her ideas about what creates a truly perfect relationship.

Zendaya recently shared her thoughts on what makes a strong marriage. In an interview with Views magazine published on March 25th, she said she doesn’t believe in a ‘perfect’ marriage, but that couples who seem like close best friends are inspiring. She believes it’s wonderful to see people who genuinely enjoy each other’s company, in addition to being in love.

The 29-year-old actress, known for her role in the new movie The Drama with Robert Pattinson – where they play a couple facing a shocking secret before their wedding – has been hesitant to discuss marriage. This started after her stylist, Law Roach, initially revealed that she and Tom had secretly gotten married.

Although neither Zendaya nor Tom Holland has officially confirmed the news that they’re married, Zendaya has been seen wearing a gold wedding band in addition to her engagement ring. Interestingly, Tom Holland, also 29, was not wearing a ring when he visited the Empire State Building in New York City on March 18th.

During her March 16th interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the star of Challengers playfully addressed the rumors about a wedding, saying she hadn’t noticed any of the buzz. She was, however, aware of the AI-created wedding photos of her and Tom that had been shared online, and she took the opportunity to clarify the situation.

She confessed that a lot of people had been tricked by the photos. She’d been out in public and received compliments on her ‘wedding photos,’ but had to explain, ‘Those aren’t real – they were created using AI.’

Although Zendaya and Tom haven’t officially announced their marriage, they’ve always been open about how close they are. Back in 2017, Zendaya even called her Spider-Man: Homecoming co-star “one of my best friends” in an interview with Variety.

“We are friends,” she added to the outlet. “He’s a great dude.”

In 2021, Tom explained to Access Hollywood that he, Zendaya, and their Spider-Man: No Way Home co-star Jacob Batalon had become very good friends while filming the movie.

He said they connected immediately. He fondly remembered becoming close friends while working on the first Spider-Man movie.

The couple, who announced their engagement in January 2025, have consistently valued their privacy throughout their relationship.

Tom explained to The Hollywood Reporter in 2023 that he and his partner are very private about their relationship. He said it’s something personal they cherish and don’t feel obligated to share with the public – it’s just for them.

Zendaya agreed, telling Elle magazine that she understands some parts of her life will inevitably be public. She explained that she wants to live normally, including loving who she chooses, but she also gets to decide what she shares with the world.

Tom shared a striking new photo on Instagram to celebrate his 27th birthday, playfully calling it “possibly the sexiest picture ever taken of me!” His girlfriend, Zendaya, responded with a heart-eyes emoji, showing her approval.

Zendaya seemed inspired by her character from Challengers when she attended the BNP Paribas Open Men’s Final in Indian Wells, California, with Tom Holland and her assistant, Darnell Appling.

The two enjoyed a night out in London.

After Tom’s play, Romeo and Juliet, opened in London, Zendaya was there to support him. They were photographed holding hands as they left the theater.

When Tom launched his new non-alcoholic beer brand, Bero, Zendaya supported him while wearing a matching burgundy outfit.

While visiting Zendaya on the set of her movie, The Drama, in Newbury, Massachusetts, the pair grabbed a beer at Bero.

Tom announced on Instagram that he was trying a ‘Bero’ for the first time at a bar, sharing a photo of his girlfriend smiling behind him. He promised to share how it went.
