Even though Attack on Titan finished its run a while back, the story of Eren Jaeger and the Survey Corps remains incredibly popular in the anime community. Beyond a fun crossover with Marvel’s Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy, the world of Attack on Titan keeps finding new and unexpected ways to connect with other series. While a team-up with characters from Dragon Ball Z or One Piece seems unlikely, Eren, Mikasa, and Levi are back in another surprising and imaginative crossover.
Attack on Titan has a history of surprising collaborations, having partnered with brands selling everything from laundry detergent to alcohol. Their latest venture is particularly unusual: a line of cockroach repellent spray created with Gokijet Pro. The spray features artwork of popular characters like Captain Levi, Eren, and Mikasa from the Attack on Titan manga. While it won’t give you Titan powers or trigger a world-ending event to eliminate bugs, it’s definitely one of the most unique anime merchandise items ever released. Attack on Cockroaches
DAISO recently announced the release of a new version of their Gokijet Pro spray, featuring designs from the popular anime Attack on Titan. Fans can choose from three different designs: Eren, Mikasa, and Levi. With these characters known for powerfully defeating Titans, DAISO hopes this spray will be equally effective at eliminating roaches, making it a popular choice in Japan.
While there aren’t any new manga chapters or anime episodes of Attack on Titan in the works right now, the world of the series could return in the future. Creator Hajime Isayama recently released a prequel story, Attack on Titan: Bad Boy, which explores Captain Levi’s difficult childhood. Although young Levi wasn’t battling Titans, the story reveals the hardships that shaped him into the complex and tragic character fans know and love.
In a recent interview, Hajime Isayama, the creator of Attack on Titan, indicated he doesn’t plan to return to that universe anytime soon. He’s enjoying his break from manga, explaining that while he occasionally does small projects like illustrations or helps friends, he’s no longer drawing regularly. Isayama feels he gave everything to Attack on Titan and worries any new work would simply be a rehash of ideas he’s already explored, feeling his first series was a complete outpouring of his creativity.
