Why Lauren Conrad’s Husband Doesn’t Need to See Laguna Beach

Lauren Conrad‘s husband William Tell doesn’t need to go back to the beginning.

Surprisingly, the musician who became a lawyer doesn’t watch his wife’s reality show, Laguna Beach, which was popular for three seasons in the mid-2000s.

Lauren shared with Erin Lim Rhodes of TopMob News that her partner didn’t watch much of The Reunion: Laguna Beach. She said he saw a few episodes, but quickly felt like he didn’t need to because he already knows her personally. This conversation took place at the Los Angeles premiere on March 27th.

Jack Antinoff, the lead singer of Something Corporate, and his wife, Lauren, have become very close since they started dating in 2012. They married in 2014 and later had two sons, Liam, who is now 8, and Charlie, who is 6.

Just like their father, the boys don’t seem interested in the show—a precursor to The Hills that also featured Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt, Audrina Patridge, and Whitney Port.

Lauren, age 40, explained that her sons would likely say they didn’t need her help, adding that they were young and independent enough not to worry about it.

Lauren was excited to reunite with her former Laguna Beach castmates – Kristin Cavallari, Stephen Colletti, Lo Bosworth, Talan Torriero, Dieter Schmitz, Jessica Smith Evans, Alex Hooser, Trey Phillips, and Morgan Olsen – for a special reunion airing on the Roku Channel on April 10th. However, she doesn’t currently have any other reality TV shows recorded and ready to watch.

The fashion designer told us they were currently watching Love Story and had recently started Rooster, which they really enjoyed. They also plan to rewatch Heated Rivalry because they love it.

Although Lauren hasn’t been a reality TV star for a while, she was happy to look back on her time on Laguna Beach and finally make peace with her former co-star Kristin. She described being able to have those open and honest conversations as a really positive experience.

Lauren explained that it’s crucial, particularly for women, to connect with each other and offer support. She mentioned that during their reunion, they openly discussed their past mistakes and how they had treated each other.

Describing their “great” heart-to-heart, she added, “We both are such different people now.”

Okay, I have to admit, I nearly choked when I rewatched Teen Vogue‘s Lisa Love tell Lauren Conrad she’d forever be ‘the girl who didn’t go to Paris.’ It’s iconic, but also… brutal! Apparently, Anna Wintour originally said it, which just proves how legendary that moment was.

But honestly, looking back at that drama from over a decade ago—and the split with Jason Wahler—it’s amazing how far Lauren has come. She’s not just a reality TV face anymore. She’s a New York Times bestselling author, co-founder of The Little Market, which is all about supporting female artisans, and a successful fashion designer! Her Kohl’s line was just the beginning of her incredible lifestyle brand.

She’s totally moved on from those messy nights at Les Deux, too! She married William Tell, the rocker from Something Corporate who also went to law school, in a 2014 wedding that was basically ripped from a Pinterest board. They now have two adorable little boys, Liam James and Charlie Wolf Tell, and it’s just so heartwarming to see how happy she is.

Known for her outspoken personality, Kristin Cavallari has successfully transitioned from reality television to entrepreneurship. Her lifestyle brand, Uncommon James, will open its fourth retail store in Charleston in 2024, adding to her ventures which also include a shoe line with Chinese Laundry and three cookbooks.

Over ten years with former NFL quarterback Jay Cutler, she and he welcomed three children: sons Camden Jack and Jaxon Wyatt, and daughter Saylor James. The couple later separated in April 2020.

After ending a relationship with Mark Estes of Montana Boyz in September 2024, Cavallari has been navigating the dating world. She shared with TopMob News in 2023, “I’ve gone on a lot of dates in the last few years,” but explained she’s not necessarily picky, just unwilling to waste time on anything insincere.

Jason Wahler, known for his rebellious behavior on reality shows like Laguna Beach and The Hills, faced numerous problems after his time on television, including drug use, DUIs, and arrests. He finally got help by appearing on Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew Pinsky.

Jason later married Ashley Slack, and credits her with helping him stay sober. Together, they have three children: Delilah Ray (born August 2017), Wyatt Ragle (born June 2021), and August Robert (born May 2025). As the founder of Widespread Recovery, Jason continues to share his experiences with addiction, both on The Hills: New Beginnings and through his YouTube series, JAWS Diaries with Jason & Ashley Wahler.

Now living in Nashville, Jason has reconnected with Kristen, becoming close friends after moving to Tennessee. He explained that they had grown apart due to their separate lives and families, but she has been a supportive friend throughout his recovery.

After fueling fan fiction about a love triangle with Kristin and Stephen, actor Laguna is now concentrating on his acting career. He appeared on The CW’s One Tree Hill for five seasons and played Taylor Swift’s love interest in her “White Horse” music video. He also briefly worked as a VJ on the original Total Request Live. More recently, he starred in the 2018 TV movie Hometown Christmas and Hulu’s Everyone Is Doing Great alongside his former One Tree Hill co-star James Lafferty.

Regarding his relationship with podcast co-host Kristin, the two are no longer together. Stephen proposed to NASCAR reporter Alex Weaver in November 2023. He told TopMob News in 2024 that they are enjoying being engaged while also planning the details of their wedding.

The couple chose a simple and classic style when sharing news of their wedding on Instagram on October 3, 2025, posting a photo with the caption “Mr. & Mrs.” Just a few months later, on January 20, 2026, they announced they were expecting a child with another Instagram post, captioned “Mom & Dad.”

For years, Lauren Conrad made it clear she didn’t want to revisit her time on The Hills. She recalled telling an executive, “Absolutely not!” and wanting no connection to anyone from the show, emphasizing her need for distance.

After changing careers and moving to New York City, the International Culinary Center graduate and author of The Lo-Down founded Love Wellness, a line of personal care products for women, in 2016.

In a 2024 interview, she explained that while she isn’t in constant contact with many of her former castmates, that’s not unusual after two decades. She remains friendly with everyone and would happily reconnect if she saw them.

Lauren has built a fulfilling life, marrying businessman Domenic “Dom” Natale in an intimate Laguna Beach wedding in July 2025, and welcoming their daughter, Nelle, in January.

She shared with TopMob that she’s achieved her dreams and is now focused on maintaining her happiness, health, family, and spending time with loved ones.

Before marrying Danielle Torriero, actor Talan Torriero was known for short-term relationships with celebrities like Kimberly Stewart and Nicole Scherzinger. He met Danielle at a Los Angeles bar on her 21st birthday in 2009, and they eventually moved from California to her home state of Nebraska to build a life together.

The couple married in June 2014 and now have three children: Bronson, born in October 2017, Hudson, born in December 2020, and Anderson Tito, born in June 2023. They are building their “dream home” on a property of nearly an acre.

Talan remembers being immediately struck by Danielle when they first met. “I was like, ‘Who is that?'” he told TopMob News. “We started talking, and she told me she was from Nebraska. I didn’t even know where that was! And now, 14 years later, here I am, living there.”

Turns out that season one runway show was just his first step into the world of fashion. After leaving Laguna, Trey made the leap to New York City and Parsons School of Design. Graduating in 2010, the fashion design and renewable energy major hung around the Big Apple, scoring a job as an associate designer at Vera Wang and spent time in London.

Founding Motion Illustrated in 2023 (“I’ve spent over a decade designing and illustrating for some of the biggest names in fashion. Now, I want to share my own vision of style with you,” he shared on his site), the artist keeps a relatively low-profile on social media. He has, however, shown the occasional glimpse of partner Kasumi.

Lauren and Stephen’s close friend pursued his passion for hospitality and now manages the Sofitel New York hotel.

He remains close to his high school friends, including Lauren, Stephen, Trey, and Loren Polster, all of whom attended his wedding in Monterey, California, in 2016 to Isabell Hiebl. The couple, who consider Austria a second home, welcomed their son, Nico Josef Schmitz, in September 2018, and their daughter, Leni, in March 2023.

After appearing on Laguna Beach, KCav’s friend mostly stepped away from television. She briefly made headlines again in 2007 with a DUI arrest, but then settled into a private life in Texas with her husband, Michael Evans, whom she describes as incredibly kind and loving. They have four children. She now focuses on family and occasionally shares updates on her blog and Amazon shop, jokingly saying she’s just trying to keep track of her kids.

Remember Alex and Jessica competing for Jason’s affection? That’s all in the past! Alex married Kyle Johnson in 2014, with Morgan Olson, Alex H., and Taylor Cole as bridesmaids. They now have three sons: Levi, born in 2016, Kase in 2018, and Rome in April 2021. Alex used her communications degree from Chapman University to co-found MOX Agency, a social media marketing company, in 2014.

When Morgan joined MTV in 2004, she wasn’t aiming for fame. She simply wanted to document her high school years with friends, as she explained to Time magazine. And she was determined to stick to her life plan, which included finding a Mormon husband and settling down.

Two years after graduating from Brigham Young University in 2008 with a degree in humanities and journalism, she married Joel Smith. She’s said she pursued the things she always wanted – finishing college, traveling, getting married, and building a career – regardless of her TV show. Now living in South Carolina, where she recently opened a showroom in Charleston, she’s a designer and mother to Theo, Georgia, and Julian.

Casey wasn’t one of the original stars of Laguna Beach, but she definitely made an impact when she joined the show. Since then, she’s become a successful baker, opening Casey’s Cupcakes in Orange County and even winning Cupcake Wars on Food Network in 2011.

Her personal life is equally happy. She’s been married to Sean Brown (related to the late Nicole Brown Simpson) since August 2015, and they have three children: daughter Kensington and sons Sean Brown Jr. and Conrad.

Just under three years after attending Taylor’s wedding to Kevin Simshauser in October 2015, Taylor and her friend Alex both discovered they were expecting babies, only eight weeks apart. Taylor welcomed her daughter, Tatum, in September 2018, followed by her sons, Cole in January 2020, and Olson in August 2022. As the founder of Taylor Cole Holistic Nutrition, she also loves sharing glimpses of her life on Instagram.
